Hey Ichigo, its been bothering me but you keep pronouncing Eureka wrong. Its not pronounced like the cheesy SciFi show, but pronounced A-rei-ka. (accounting for the Japanese pronouncing an English word)
Surely if that’s just the japanese pronunciation of an english word, then an english person should be using the english pronunciation…
And in the Japanese it’s not A-rei-ka either. It’s pronounced exactly the way it’s spelled, Eu-re-ka. And yes, I say it Eu-ri-ka because that’s the way the word is pronounced in English. I could pronounce it the way the Japanese mangle the word, but I don’t like to because it sounds unnatural. I have to mangle English words enough in daily life here in Japan, I figure I’m free to not have to on my show :-)
