VG Pulse 163: Online Madness

This week on VG Pulse, we don’t have a great deal of news, but we do start out with an ezmail of random questions! Always a good thing. After that we move into the news and discuss GTAV patches and save deleting. After the news I head off to doodle while Millennium gives his final review of GTAV! All this and more up next on VGP 163! -Aki

  1. It’s been a LOOOONG time since I’ve heard a listener review. Thanks to Xahldera for that. He probably did that because he knows the ladies can’t resist an accent. 🙂

“GTA Online is the most complex online ever attempted? Say what?” – MMORPGs

Also, while there aren’t tons of health pickups laying about in the game, you can buy food to replenish your health, and they did give you health regen to 50%. My hint to people who die a lot in police chases: drive fast! 🙂

I also resigned myself to not trusting anyone in GTA Online: we’re all playing as thieves and killers! There’s no honor amongst us.

You also complained about police chases. I say it’s about goddamn time that police chases in GTA were that challenging. Some are easy, and others are hard to shake off.

That’s how real police chases go, though, don’t they? In fact, GTA V’s chases are fine with me, because all of the real police chases I’ve seen all end in “Busted!” I like that you can end a chase if you’re crafty enough. There’s all sorts of stuff you can do, like hide in bushes, or jump out your car and duck behind buildings.

I think that where GTA failed most for me was in mission planning. Not enough heists!!! Also, I don’t think there’s enough to do in story mode, after the ending. All you can do is enjoy the money you’ve made, and do side missions.

There is Online, of course, and you can replay ALL missions to get gold on them, but if you’re reading this, and you’ve beat the game, you know why it’s so disappointing to end the game and not have much to do.

What score would I give it? I would give it a “half slice missing” a 3.5 out of 4.
