I agree with Hoshimiya Kate’s views on smokers and wish to subscribe to her newsletter.
Yeah, let’s take away the right to be human of anyone who indulges in self-destructive behavior. But why stop with smoking? Let’s apply that to alcohol, red meat, saturated fats, and high fructose corn syrup as well.
But its not just themselves that they’re hurting is it? What about family and friends and the fall-out from destructive behavior? What about second-hand smoke? I have medical conditions but friends who know me and know about my situation have still lit up around me. Their addiction is bad for my health as well as theirs.
