VG Pulse 212: Politically Incorrect

This week on VGP, Millennium’s all charged up and ready to take on the amount of rant-worthy news that we are presented with. Before that though, we start off with side notes of season three of two of our favorite shows that will both be premiering in April of next year, before heading off into the regular news. Where we get into a heated discussion about opinions of political correctness that is inspired by recent events surrounding a particular movie as well as recent events surrounding a controversial steam greenlight game. After the news we finish off with my final review of Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth! All this and more up next on VGP212! -Aki Continue reading “VG Pulse 212: Politically Incorrect”

Popcorn Pulse 27: What Wound

There was a time in the nineties when Steven Segal’s agent would actually call him back. This was around the same time he actually fit into suits and didn’t look ridiculous squinting angrily at anyone who dared put their fists in his personal space. It was the nineties and it was a heady time for all of us.

Then the millennium came and went and we discovered he wasn’t all that cool. Hollywood still hadn’t gotten the memo so they stuff Segal into a uniform and a movie, paired him with DMX and called it a day. Which is how we ended up with Exit Wounds, a movie which was based on a book that everyone decided to ignore and, instead, created a generic story featuring corrupt cops and drugs. Also Tom Arnold and Anthony Anderson are in it as comic relief. Consider yourself warned. Continue reading “Popcorn Pulse 27: What Wound”

VG Pulse 210: Persona Cries

This week on VG Pulse, we have a little trouble staying on topic, (but then again what’s new?) but on a more exciting note, we have an ezmail! After the ezmail we head into the news, in which we discuss the New 3DS, as well as an awesome way to take care of annoying internet trolls on Facebook! After the newz we finish off with my first look on Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth, and Millennium’s Second Look of Far Cry 4! All this and more up next on VGP 210! -Aki Continue reading “VG Pulse 210: Persona Cries”

Howdy folks! This week our intrepid duo works together to bring you another fantastic episode of Anime Pulse, Red is drunk off his ass and TC is very worried. First they hit up the news, talking about really old anime seeing the light of day once again and the manga you need to read if you want to become a masterchef! Then it’s onto the discussion thread, where this week we found out who liked a manga more then it’s anime counterpart after having seen the anime first. Finally we dive into reviews, TC handles the not-so-ghibli ghibli anime Sanzoku no Musume Ronja and Red discussesthe first season of Hitsugi no Chaika. Warning! Red is drunk! Warning!

Manga Pulse 323: Hell Sword

We’re here once again to talk about the power of the dash. Some people prefer heat seeking missiles or the old fashioned machine guns but a quick burst of speed will always be our personal favorite. There’s nothing quite like punching it when someone attempts to come up from behind and leaving them in your wake. Continue reading “Manga Pulse 323: Hell Sword”

Episode 429: Magic Robo no Yona

That’s right, we’re back! After sleeping off the Thanksgiving dinner we have returned to bring you the latest in news and reviews, or at least the latest news right behind Japan. Damn time zones. We talk about deaths in the anime industry, a cafe with less then subtle perverse dishes, and the exclusive Japanese Godzilla video game will be making it’s way to the states. Then it’s onto a Discussion Thread that is little more then left overs now, because it’s all about Thanksgiving! What anime characters would you bring to a Thanksgiving dinner? And finally, we warp the show up with reviews. Ichigo is first up to bat with a review of Akatsuki no Yona, then TC reviews the thieving Magic Kaito 1412, and Red reviews the sexually charged Kenzen Robo Daimidaler. Now hang on, because Red is bringing back the segment sound effects! That’s right, he’s actually doing something more then drinking and wishing a yandere would stab him with love. Be sure to let us know what you think of them, and any suggestions or comments on future show sound effects.
