Manga Pulse 370: ActMan

Clippety cloppity, get your dick beaters off my property. That’s going to be our custom car alarm if we ever manage to make such a thing. Or maybe we can just run a crowdfunding campaign for it, raise a bunch of money and the stop updating two years after it closes and just hope no one finds out where we live.

Tim ztarts us off with Devilman. It’s a seventies manga which was made into a rather terribly confusing OVA sold by Manga Corp. Tim and Wetall only really recall one line where demons are asking where another one is and he, having been possesed by the human he attempted to posses, says “he’s eating shit in hell!” The manga is more coherently about a man becoming a demon to fight them as they awaken and attempt to take over earth. It earns a Crackers for making sense to Tim.

Weltall then talks Violence Action. It begins with a doctor who is performing surgery and orders a hit on his employeers. The main character, Kei, is the assassin who takes n the contract. This sounds like a great beginning to a manga about an assassin. Unfortunately the manga is more vignette style with chapters being separate contracts. This missed chance in storytelling drops it down to a Crackers.
