Ever work on something and it comes out really good, only to find out the auto save feature was turned off and you just closed down the program? That’s about what Ryo went through this week, when she lost all of her audio for episode 496.
In this weeks episode we touch up on how the Christmas Giveaway is going, which only lasts until the end of December so get your entry in now! Afterwards is IRL news, where Ryo is wrapping presents and Red is buried in games. Then the industry news has topics like tropes in anime that might actually gross you out for real, and anime that will make you feel old when you hear it’s turning 10. And finally are the reviews, Red starting off with DanMachi and Ryo ending things on Blood Lad. Also, sorry about Red’s mic quality, there seems to have been an audio setting snafu someplace.
Baby it’s cold outside, so come in an warm up to another episode of Anime Pulse; it’s sure to warm the cockles of your heart. We start things out with a reminder that AP Christmas Giveaway is still ongoing, and then jump right into it with IRL news. Red’s been a busy bee and has plenty to share, meanwhile on Ryo’s side of things it’s been rather slow going. Industry news hits us with baby names, anime that makes you cry, and expensive Pokemon card updates. And bringing up the rear is a joint review of Punchline, an anime filled with plots, animation, and panty shots.
Ho ho ho everyone, it’s December so you know what that means! Yes, we’ll all be able to do our tax returns soon! I know, exciting stuff right? But if you’re not as pumped as I am about refunded money from the government, then how about some free shit from us?
That’s right, it’s the first ever Anime Pulse Christmas Giveaway.
IRL news about Hacksaw Ridge, Pokemon Sun, and new jobs that smell like overbearing fruits and flowers. Industry news covers topics like the difficulty in addressing homosexuality in anime, and who is earning the top dollar working with anime. Reviews this week are of Pan de Peace and JoJo, one is about a group of girls who like bread a little too much and the other is about muscle bound men fighting each other with their personas. I’ll let you guess which one is which.
It’s another episode of Anime Pulse, like Red always introduces it as such. IRL news is up first with discussions of Hellsing Abridged, job hunting, and Dr. Strange. Industry News has monster girl contests and yummy pocket monsters, and reviews consist of a lazy computer programmer in “Battle Programmer Shirase” and a reluctant magical girl in “Mahou Shoujo Nante Mouiidesukara.”
Happy Halloween everyone, another episode of Anime Pulse has arrived. Not that it’s a spooky edition or anything, unless you consider Red’s verbal molestation frightening, in which case prepare to cower in fear. We got some news about Ryo’s latest short story and Red’s first play through of a Persona game, followed up by crossdressing cosplay getting a limp thumbs up and expensive smoking for the 2020 olympics. As for reviews, Ryo handles the short but cute Bananya and Red gets all touchy feely with Nanatsu no Taizai.
Fall’s here everyone, and with it comes a new season of anime. Sadly this season is somewhat lacking, so this will be the only previews show for the fall 2016 season. First up however is IRL news about new microphones, anime conventions, and bad movies. That’s followed up by industry news about Goku’s big secret, an expensive Pokemon card, and foreigners being called a hassle on bullet trains. And lastly are the previews, of which there are six, so buckle in, you’re in for a long one.

Yes it’s safe, sexually suggestive Red is gone this week. In fact, Ryo even prepared herself for his stupid antics only to be surprised at how much of a straight man Red would play. This week we’ve got news about life-sized figurines, Red’s trip to visit his mom, and Ryo’s efforts at creating a video presentation. As for reviews, Ryo starts off with the father and daughter anime “Sweetness and Lightning” and Red brings up the rear with the past life Seiken Tsukai no World Break.
Have you ever had one of those friends who tires to make everything anyone says into a sexual joke? Yeah, Red is that guy this episode. Though you can’t blame the guy entirely, he did go see the god awful “Sausage Party” this past week. At least Ryo takes it all in stride, but then again she has been writing poetry about her dreamy sensei. This week your two hosts got news on One Punch Man and Love Hotels, and finish off with reviews of Log Horizon’s second season and Oshiete! Galko-chan. Let’s get it on!
