Re: AP 657 - Reverse Harem
I can't say that I've seen many reverse harems. I saw the original Fruits Basket, and I was mostly "meh" on it. I also recall a recent reverse harem that had a girl protag who is sold off to an oni lord from the otherworld, and takes up a job to cook to pay off her grandfather's debt. I ca...

Re: AP 656 - Psuedo-name
Okay, everyone even half-way familiar with most anime should already be familiar with the endless knockoffs of McDonalds, with WacDonalds being the most common. No need to elaborate on that. My all-time fav anime Cowboy Bebop had "Pippu" cola, a knock-off of Pepsi. http://img4.wikia.nocook...

Re: AP 655 - Shoujo
I am having a problem recalling the shoujo anime I have really enjoyed. It's not that I have not watched many, I have seen several. It's just a problem in recalling shoujo that I could consider my favorite . I do recall watching Maid Sama a LONG time ago. I think I watched the entire series, if I re...

Re: AP 654 - Pizza
I don't recall many anime episodes that specifically featured pizza. There was, of course, the tie-in with Pizza Hut in Code Geas -- which was scrubbed from the original U.S. release, incidentally. And there was the Samurai Pizza Cats , which was a rebranded Tatsunoko series, originally titled Kyatt...

Re: AP - in 10 years
I really hope that we're not looking at a complete consolidation in the anime distribution business here in the West. Particularity, I am concerned with the growing influence of Western (read: Hollywood) influence on the dubbing, subbing and integrity of the anime we see outside of Japan. I also wou...

Re: AP 652 - Elves
My favorite Elf character is the " High Elf Archer " girl, Yousei Yunde , from Goblinslayer : https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/goblin-slayer/images/c/cb/High_Elf_Archer.png/revision/latest?cb=20190523165103 I enjoy the dwarf character teasing her about her flat chest. My second favorite...

Re: AP 651 - Shitty Antags
Not all antagonists are villains, but a villain is supposed to be bad. Someone we root against in favor of the protagonist. So it is expected that a villain be someone we do not like. But that does not make them "shitty" necessarily. I think a "shitty" antagonist is one that fail...

Re: AP 649 - Anime Time
We cut the cable almost ten years ago now. And since then, our family has been watching primarily streamed content, mostly Anime via CrunchyRoll, Funimation, HiDive, Netflix *and* Amazon Prime.
So the answer for us would be: ALL the Time!

Re: AP 648 - Disappointment
Neon Genesis Evangelion (original series) was a great series right up until the last couple of of episodes. It appeared rushed and ill-conceived, with the next to last one with absolute sh*t animation. I _hate_ rushed endings in a series, and Evangelion really disappointed me sorely. Loved the seri...

Re: AP 465 - Anime Soundtrack
Ooooooh! A favorite topic of mine! I have collected several albums and tracks from various anime titles. There are three main composers that I nearly always buy their music, for both OP/ED's as well as for the soundtrack itself. (1) Yoko Kano. Her work in shows like Cowboy Bebop , Ghost in the Shell...
