| I wonder how strong he is? Sure he's huge but so was Don Kreig. |

I doubt he's going to be that strong, since this appears to just be the mini-arc before they go to Mermaid Island, much like how Jaya was the precursor to Skypeia. _________________

Mainly because it's the only way to get through the part of the Red Line where they're currently located. _________________

Yeah, that scene with the pirate wearing the exploding collar was pretty damn brutal. For some reason, I have a feeling that Zoro's gonna end up getting stuck in that situation. He's walking around alone and he was probably asleep when Hatchi was telling everyone to ignore whatever horrible things the World Nobles did. _________________

Yea, Zoro and his bad sense on direction. You obviously know that they aren't gonna get through mermaid island so easily. _________________

Finally, a new recruit for the One Piece fanbase; However, I hate to tell you this, but the manga isn't any shorter. I hope you're prepared for nearly 500 chapters.
Also, "HOLY CRAP!" is my general reaction to the most recent chapters. First, they have the World Nobles doing whatever they want and now we got the Eleven Supernovas. Oda is getting ready for something big. _________________

I still read it weekly; Unfortunately, this thread mainly consists of me talking to myself, since the other big One Piece fans on these forums (I know who you are >.>) don't seem to post here often.
I can't wait for the total chaos that should ensue quite soon because of Ace's public execution. To quote Hot Fuzz quoting Bad Boys 2, shit just got real. _________________

I also still read it every week and buy the books as soon as they come out. It's my favorite series. I also completely agree with Afro D. Luffy. At first I was sceptic about the new arc but it seems to be flowing very well. _________________

Kinda reminded me off his first punch against Wapol at the castle. I doubt that any of the Tenryobito are a match for the strawhats, but I'm eager to see next weeks chapter.

Inevitable, but so goddamn satisfying.
I wonder how long it will take for the World Government to sick an Admiral on the Strawhats. _________________

Definitely some awesome stuff going down in the latest chapter. For a bit there i thought Hacchi was completely dead!, but i guess that's not the case?
Seeing the admirals in action should be pretty interesting, but i'm really interested in seeing the other big pirates on the island as well as what Silvers Rayleigh is going to be up to.
Any guesses as to what his (Silvers Rayleigh's) power is... ? I just remember the one scene where someone walked by him and somehow collapsed? weird. _________________

Yeah, hopefully Hacchi will be all right. Despite him having been a villain in the past, I was pretty worried when he got shot.
I'm guessing it's probably something similar to what Shanks did to some of the crew members on Whitebeard's ship right before the Ace vs. Blackbeard incident. I don't know how else to describe besides their presence being too much for the people around them to handle.
I'm personally looking forward to what the other Supernovas end up doing. Man, these next few chapters should be really good. _________________

I think there's a golden rule in One Piece:
Nobody ever dies unless they are bit characters.
I have yet to witness a death of a character that wasn't designed to die, like the pirate captain that plays poker with Bellamy or the slave that tried to flee a few chapters ago. Other than that, OP is pretty much without references to death.
But all characters, even if they are only tangential to the story, usual stand back up even if they have been completely beaten. Sometimes that gets annoying. It really bothered me with the Shandia. _________________

Edited that rule a little bit for ya. Can't forget about Bellemere, Kunia, the doctor who took care of Chopper (Wish I could remember his name), or Tom. Unless you count them as characters who were designed to die, then I take back my addition. Aside from that, yeah, I can basically agree with your points. Especially in that it can get somewhat annoying. I mean, come on...Pell took a nuke to the face and managed to come out of it alive. _________________

I agree that deaths don't happen too often, but when i saw the picture below (spoiler!) that was my first thought. One of the things I love about OP is that the deaths actually do add a lot to the story, especially as Afro pointed out with the flashbacks. I was also thinking it was like the whitebeard + shanks thing... reiatsu (a la bleach) is really the only way i could describe it, but that could very well be it.
Also the doctor's name was "Hiruluk". For some reason only "Hogback" was coming to mind .
