OK - gave up trying to comment from the main page. I hate my laptop sometimes. I know, I know - google is my friend, yadda yadda yadda.
12 Kingdoms sounds like a great piece. I am definitely adding it to my future reading list. Thanks for the synopsis Ichigo!

I thought about posting my comments on the actual blog but felt they were getting too long - so I've decided to post them here.
Excellent viewpoints Ichigo on which many I concur. It infuriates me when individuals feel the necessity to belittle others because of differing religions or belief systems. Personally I am of the belief that someone should be judged by what they do and not by what holidays they celebrate or deity they choose to worship.
I refuse to believe that God, Allah or whatever name you wish to use, would condemn someone who has lived a full life in the service of others just because they were Buddhist and not Christian (or some other religion or belief system). That is probably my biggest problem with extremists of any religion. The belief that their religion is the only way one should live. I acknowledge that others may not believe as I do and I respect our differences, but would expect that others do the same towards me.
As far as anime is concerned, I still do not understand why some view anime as an evil or bad thing. In my opinion, while select anime may not be appropriate for some age groups due to certain content (violence, sexual content, etc) it is short-sighted to generalize the genre overall as negative. Anime is a form of artistic expression and should be appreciated as such. While art can help shape your belief system it is up to the person to decide if what is presented should have any bearing on what they believe. By exposing oneself to the humor and art forms of other cultures we allow ourselves to become more well-rounded and better prepared to interact effectively in the global village in which we live.
In a nutshell, people should lighten up and open their minds. Watching Hellsing is not going to turn you into a psychopath any more than going to church every Sunday. That's my 2 cents for what it's worth. _________________ This has been cleared out by Ichigo.
