Hey Anime Expo is nearing. Anybody Excited about going. I am probably going. I heard what Ichigo said about Anime expo, and I really don't care. Anime Expo is still my Favorite convention. (Besides I can't afford to travel to Sakura Con!) Anyways....

this will be my third year attending anime-expo last year was really disappointing. if things are bad this year I'll try sakura-con or Otakon next year.

compared to 2008 AX there were a less guests, less panels that i liked, less industry and overall it felt like it had less energy than 08 con. It also didn't help that i brought my friend who was a first time con goer and basically brought me down with his comments on being bored. i hope this year will be better hope to see some people from the forum there!

I found this ad on the Anime Expo website this evening.

An Anime Pulse ad on Anime Expo's front page. Kinda interesting since Ichigo hasn't been a big supporter of Anime Expo recently. I don't really blame him though since the CEO is trying to nickel and dime attendees this year.

yeah when I registered early there wasn't any extra fees for stuff. when i went back to register my cousin and wife they added a premium badge and wanted to charge 10 dollars a day per person to ride the bus 6 blocks to the convention center. that's 80 dollars for a total 10 minutes per day for 4 days.

definitely my last year attending this convention. I'll be attending Sakuracon next year I missed out due to my class schedule.

I feel ya on the prices this year. I haven't been since 08 ( when The AP guys all showed up). I decided to go with the "premium" four day pass which includes a concert...set me back $125 Shoked

Maybe we should have a AP meetup again like we did in 08 though I don't know how fun it will be with out the hosts there... Laughing

@ the robotech panel now will also miss the meet @ 5.

Left the convention a day early. It was a great convention, but I didn't want to see anything other panels and I bought a LOT of stuff so I was good to go.
