This arc ended a little fast. I'm still skeptical of the rumours about this being the last season, but I'm starting to feel it. Also, did the part where Aizen said Ichigo's life all went to plan happen before Ichigo's upgrade, if so, I'm seriously out of it.

Yup. Aizen meant he had been controlling Ichigo from the very beginning. As in, it was him that had Rukia go to Karakura Town, and it was him that had Renji and Byakuya go there too. All of it was "orchestrated" by Aizen. Which I find stupid. I mean yes, he could very well have controlled it all as he could - and quite likely did - have Central 46 under his power ages before the anime's start. BUT, the main issue I have with it is this:

Why?

Why would Aizen control all of Ichigo's life to make him this incredibly powerful Shinigami/Hollow hybrid? I mean, if he was planning to absorb his powers then fine, that makes sense. But he built him up...to what? It wasn't to test his powers, it wasn't as an experiment. We're given NO reason why Aizen gave someone the tools necessary to fight him. It makes NO sense. Therefore, I conclude that Aizen is retarded. Purely and simply retarded.

Also if he DID control Ichigo's life, how did he know Urahara would recover his powers and that he'd actually be a Vizard? It's all one big stupid mess of a plot hole.

tl;dr - Kubo got lazy/realised his story was going nowhere and made up a stupid plot hole ridden storyline so he could get it all over with and start something fresh

All I have to say is that it was clever of the animators to make Ichigo lose his powers later rather than immediately like he does in the manga. give them a reason to add a year of filler.

After the heart attack known as episode 309, it is good to see a nice, slow one. Didn't Ichigo say that the reason was Aizen wanted to find an equal and be a mere soul Reaper again Confused

? I don't read the manga, so I am excited to see what happens next!
