I've been with someone who hates anime for 6 years. We are now going through a divorce... sad news. The good news though is that I can now indulge my sweet tooth and watch all the awesome Anime I want.
So far I've watched:
High School of the Dead
Xam'd
Gurren Lagann
Sword of the Stranger
Yuru Yuri
and a couple others I can't remember the names of...
Can I get some recommendations? Also please note I have Netflix instant, so that would be preferable since I already know there are a bunch there that I have access too .
Thanks everyone <3. _________________ www.whoburnedmytoast.blogspot.com

lol yeah... ok so it's not the most amazing show ever, but I've been married to an anti-anime person! Let me have my fan-service!
You didn't suggest anything though :'( _________________ www.whoburnedmytoast.blogspot.com

Anything good newer than early 2006? Alright then, off the top of my head:
- Busou Renkin
- Baccano!
- Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni
- Bokurano
- Angel Beats
- Carnival Phantasm (if you're familiar with Fate/Stay Night)
- Fate/Zero
- Gun X Sword
- Madoka Magica _________________

This brings up a good idea for anyone who wants to work on the wiki. Add a year column to the past reviews page with the year the show started. Then you can sort by year and see what shows were good
Thanks,

That would be awesome. It's funny Ichigo, I keep running into Anime that you've reviewed on the show, which I had forgotten the title of. Then as I'm watching it, because I listen to the show while I work, I can recall exactly where I was and what I was doing at work when I heard you review it. As soon as the first dumb shiggity happens, I'm like "Hey! I remember this now... Ohhhhhh~ this is what he was talking about".
Anyway thanks to the person above Ichigo for the recommendations. I just started watching Angel Beats. At first I was unsure of it, but as it goes on I'm starting to like it more and more.
Gurren Lagann was like that too for me. At first the characters annoyed me, then Yokko appeared ~ _________________ www.whoburnedmytoast.blogspot.com

I have tons of anime on Netflix, granted I don't know what you've watched but perhaps you could try Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo it's a Gonzo series and the animation will definitely grab your attention. _________________

I agree with these series. Others are questionable. _________________ Don't lose your inner light. |
