Well the whole "Dattebayo" thing arises again. I've asked Japanese people this and it doesn't really mean anything. The way the got "Believe it" makes no fudging sense.

Man that was so crazy! Yeah, the reason he says "Believe it" is because they have to put something in for Dattebayo to match the lip movement, and for a cheap catch phrase marketing ploy

True, but that's why there are fansubs and the dual audio on the boxset my friend. Washes that bad taste out of your mouth

And like Stewie said, Dattebayo means absolutely nothing, but once in awhile I catch the dub on tv and laugh my ass off everytime I hear "Believe it!" People should just mute the dubbed voice when Naruto is about to say "believe it" and play him saying dattebayo, then resume with watching the dub. This just gives people another reason to bash Naruto. Damn...

I pray that they did add subtitles. I don't think there were any on the very first dvd that came out though. Is a legal uncut Naruto boxset with dual language settings too much to ask for? Really, if VIZ did what needed to be done, people wouldn't be fansubbing the shiggity out of Naruto. Maybe there will be one in the future though...but I shouldn't bash Viz anymore. What would we be saying if Naruto was licensed by 4kids? That...that would put some people in the ICU in their nearest hospital.

There are going to be two versions of the DVD's comming out. The one that came out first was the US one that you can see on TV. They cut out the blood, swearing, and anything else that they will not allow on TV. They will also not have any Japaneese track, and if there are subtitles, they will be of the american track and not translations.

Later (mabye they are out by now), they are going to release the true DVD's. They will not cut out the blood and all that stuff. They will still have the US Dub on them, but they will also have the Japaneese track and true subs (translations). So there is no need to worry. Just read the back of the box to make sure you get the right one.
