It has been bother me for quite some time now. Why are the Vizards in Bleach doing absolutely nothing in the series at the moment? I mean, the most action we got from them was them training Ichigo to gain "control" over his hollow side. And then came the very short but kick ass fight between Shinji and Grimmjow.

Nothing after that! Anyone have any stupid but interesting ideas for what they are doing? Or guesses for what they are going to do later in the series??

They don't have any motivation do something right now. They're not allied with Aizen or Soul Society and neither of those groups have made any moves against them. It's as simple as that.

I don't think I put my reason for making this, in my above post - What do they want out of all of this?! Their true intentions! They are obviously in the series for a reason, and I want to know what!

Good question. Right now with Soul Society and Hueco Mundo keeping eachother busy, a lot of things are in the open for the Vizards...

They appear to be neutral in the majority of conflicts between soul society and hueco mundo. Hyori said the "Shinigami hate us", so they won't be helping Soul Society. The only motivation that they have is that they want Ichigo to join their group.

If they are not secretly in league with Aizen (which I suspect they are), then they are simply waiting for an opportunity to exploit the situation at hand. my guess is that they are characters for the next arc kubo has in mind.

That could happen aizen-sama. Like, did you mean they might be involved in the next arc? I wonder. I mean, what will happen when Ichigo and co. go back home? Will they start training? Or will something happen before the Winter wars like, I dunno, maybe a revolution in Soul Society and some Shinigami leave with Aizen, or the Vaizard turn out to be evil, or whatever. The next arc could be, well, anything really. It can't go straight into the war, that much is certain

right i am gonna point this out if ichigo with his mask on got reffered to as a espada when he thought grimmjow what does that make the vizards strength, since they have had there masks longer might mean there even harder then some of the espada

apparently so. If the captains defeat the espada member now then maybe the Vaizard are stronger than the espada I mean being former shinigami give them access to shikai and bankai along with the power of the hollow mask.

Well I think it's more or less implied throughout that Vaizards are superior. I mean, for starters there are only eight of them (not including Ichigo) which suggests that they're fewer but far stronger. Also Shinji managed to beat back Grimmjow without even breaking a sweat. I think the Vaizard sure as hell are far above the Arrancar in terms of power. Which would then mean the Vaizard are probably stronger than the Captains. But then, are they as strong as the Vasto Lordes, who are also stronger than the Captains? Or even Aizen?

Well, they're either gonna get involved in the Winter War against Aizen, OR (kinda different from aizen-sama's theory about them being in league with Aizen) wait until Aizen is beaten and THEN decide to strike back against the Shinigami whilst they're recovering (and become pretty much the main enemies of the next big story arc after the Winter War.) Just a theory, not necessarily saying I believe it, just throwing it out there as an idea

I don't think they are gonna be enemies. I mean why would they go and train the crap out of ichigo, and then why would they go and kill him? EXPLAIN!?!?!?! MORE THEORIES! KEEP THE THREAD GOING!

they probably only trained ichigo so they could add another warrior to their cause, but ichigo ain't gonna be a part of that

they're just using ichigo of course to get as close as they can to the hougyokou. they probably have their own agenda...maybe. They hate shinigami, but so do the hollows/arrancar and they serve Aizen and his goals of killing the king so why not the Vaizard. all their hatred can be traced back to getting rid of shinigami period. so by getting rid of the king, I can only assume will mean the collapse of the soul society realm.

hiyori the slipper slapper says it to shinji after the brief confrontation with chad and Inoue. I believe she hates humans and shinigami.

That's in the anime. In the scantalation that I have, she says "Shinigami hate us" and "Humans hate us".

Well, it's more or less taken for granted that they do. But then, realistically, even if they hate Shinigami you'd think they would still feel a sense of duty to protect humans and souls from Hollows, and join with the Shinigami not to save them but to save Karakura town. I mean, at the very least they LIVE there; I doubt they'll be glad if Aizen just annihilates the entire population which will include themselves.

On a separate note, were they always there, do you reckon? Or did the Vaizards move to Karakura town after the events in Soul Society?

I don't have much input on this other than asking...

What is the origin of the Vizards? I understand they were shinigami, or at least soul society. Did they make themselves into Vizards after being shinigami, or did they become Vizard through the same route Ichigo became a shinigami?

Did Aizen have a hand in this? Perhaps they were his "first batch" of experiments?

It's never yet been made clear exactly how they became Vaizards (and I say yet because, well, we can't not find out =o) although several theories exist, such as Aizen experimenting on them, Urahara experimenting on them (with the Hougyoku), them doing it by themselves with the same/different method to Ichigo (which, incidentally, would mean Urahara might have been involved, considering he showed Ichigo the techniques to regain his powers, and considering his lack of surprise suggests he knew Ichigo getting Hollow powers was a potential, if not preferable outcome).

I doubt they became Vaizard in the sense Ichigo is. Note that Ichigo isn't like them in that he gained both powers at the same time (hence why, whenever he uses his Bankai now, his Hollow mask automatically appears along with it). They are Vaizard in the sense that they were originally Shinigami, THEN gained Hollow powers. True, they could have gained their powers at the same time, but I think the point of Vaizards is that they are literally the opposite to the Arrancar: Arrancar = Hollow-to-Shinigami, Vaizard = Shinigami-to-Hollow. Ichigo = Shinigami+Hollow
