Well, it took them forever to actually get around to it, but they gave Kakashi Gaiden the treatment it deserved, and it payed off. I'd say it was far more effective in anime form.

Why couldn't all of Shippuuden be done so well? ::sigh::

It was really good, now a wider spectrum of people will understand how Kakashi got the Sharingan. It was quicker than I thought it would be,if anything I think it should have been 3 episodes long.

Its just naruto shippuden episodes 199 and 120.

I'll have to make it a point to watch those two episodes.

I've pretty much given up on the anime and just read the manga right now.

While watching the special I thought of something. Where is Rin now? Was she forgotten as a character, did she die of something else later on? I figured that since the series has been running so long that maybe at least once Kakashi would have gone to see her, but he spends all his time alone.

Thoughts?

Also if this has been mentioned somewhere else feel free to point me in the right direction.

I think she is dead. As I remeber later on in the series, when kakashi has a very personal moment to himself, be says "I failed all of you". And with that there was an image of that team.
