After helping a few people with this, I've decided to put up these handy instructions on how to copy and post desktops in the Desktop Images thread, so they can be quickly linked and referred to.
Instructions:
- Click your mouse on your desktop.
- Hold down the buttons "control" (ctrl) and "print screen" (prt scr) together - this copies the image.
- Open Paint or a similar program and Paste the image, then save it.
- Go to ImageShack or a similar image hosting site, and upload the image.
- Copy the URL in the field "Direct link to image" and paste it in your post. Make sure the link is between these: [img][/img]
If you're on a Mac, see below for D-10 and rangiku's tips. _________________

On a Mac OSX:
Go into Utilities in your Applications folder.
Find application "Grab" (the image has little scissors) and open.
Go to the top bar and find the "Capture" option, follow instructions. _________________

for Mac, any OS, Command-Option-3 takes a pic of the active window, Command-Option-4 gives you a crosshair which you can drag to select what you want. _________________ Anime Pulse FTW
