Pretty self explanatory really, to celebrate Special Person's day what are the best Dad's you know of from anime?

This is an inverse of last week's because I'm lazy, please post some anime that you liked at the start but for whatever reason fell out of.

Is there an anime you know of that you weren't so crazy about at first but eventually grew on you? Go into as much detail as you'd like.

Anime has a good variety of genres on offer, some clearly get more love than others. So what are some of the genres that for whatever reason you don't care too much for? Do also mention why.
