I like to think Anime is good for more than short term thrills but can be thought provoking as well. Please prove me right this week by naming your Top anime that evoke feelings of existential dread. That is, make you contemplate your existence or the nature existence itself.

I'll have to go with the dystopian world of psycho-pass. In a world where a super computer can read your mind and will automatically judge someone on whether or not they're likely to commit a crime and then base their entire life around that verdict is just as dystopian as we could get in terms of how the real world is going. With the rise of more mental health issues, low brain stimulation, and an economy crisis, I can only imagine the horror turning a dominator on someone would bring. Match that up against the fact some of the real world police force is highly corrupt, more than brings existential dread, it would bring nightmarish tendencies.
