Episode 806: The Evangelion in Shadow 1.0

This week on Anime Pulse we got doxxing your favorite mecha anime creator, discovering mystical trails, and becoming Atomic. Up first Joseph walked himself straight into a fairy tail forest after suffering from food poisoning, and Andrew is being killed by heat and pollen while seeking an isekai world to move to. Then in the industry news we have a follow up to the Oshi no Ko suicide relation story, a man stealing a pack of lactic acid drinks, and the One Piece creator is heading into surgery. Lastly the reviews have Joseph becoming Atomic and requesting more Power, and Andrew has to get in the Eva and battle angels for his very first time.

This week on Anime Pulse we got sandy scallops, bad ass girls doing yuri things, and the Bay Area in San Francisco gets some new mascots. Up first Joseph did another long ass walk and ate a little too much habachi dinner, and Andrew wants to know what anime do not deserve to see the light of day again. Then in the industry news Shonen Sunday releases their results for top heroine, a bus drive around Fukuoka that might spirit you away, and some new anime mascots grace San Francisco’s public transportation. And finally we have return to our regularly schedule reviews as Joseph belly flops into a bad VR game, and Andrew takes out some terrorists while chewing on some lycoris.

This week on Anime Pulse we got arresting a Visual Novel YouTuber, disappointing meals, and our final previews for the Spring 2023 season. Up first Joseph was left disappointed and his day ruined by floppy onion rings, and Andrew is asking our audience what sleeper hits they found this season. The in the industry news we hear about how Japan is arresting grey zone crimes in an effort to enforce an unenforceable matter of copyright, getting back at your driving school by sending 1500 folded papers, and hugging is OK once more. And then in the previews, our final previews for Spring, as Joseph goes from fat to fab after stepping through a magical door and Andrew grinds his character to level 999 so he can pay his new manga assistant from another world.

Then in the industry news a city gets rich after finding some cash in the trash, taking unwanted pictures of clothed individuals is now illegal, and Amazon is trying to make us BadFrown. Lastly in the previews Joseph ends up isekai’d into another would with his older sister who kills the legendary hero, and Andrew is leading the fight against the institution who is trying to take down the idol industry.

This week on Anime Pulse we got a whooper of a show today, as we celebrate our 800th show with guests from the community, previews from the spring season, and a little industry news. Up first Joseph and Andrew brush aside the IRL news and industry news to talk with the community, introduce them, and cover the community answers to this week’s topic. After waving goodbye to the community and saying our fond farewells, we go over a little Q&A sent into us by non-live community members before wrapping up with the previews as usual. Joseph is reincarnated into the body of a recently murdered teenager, only to be summoned to another world to stop a war. Andrew on the other hand awakens in the body a sacrificial maiden in a fantasy novel, and needs to avoid a way of being a plot device for the true protagonist.

And finally in our final reviews episode before we take a small break and then go into the previews, Joseph is yelling at a short stack and her idiot senpai to get on with it and Andrew is burning off his stress singing metal at a karaoke bar with a panda.

Then in the industry news some voice actors were left grossed out by their hentai voices, YouTube letting Sailor Moon run for free, and Fance’s Anime Film Festival sees a man made of saws and chains. And lastly the reviews wrap things up as Joseph is trying to retire but thirsty thoths keep dragging him back in, and Andrew is visited by a mermaid who becomes his musical muse.
