Episode 812: Summer 2023 Previews #3

This week on Anime Pulse we got the fastest shipping in the West, the most overly complicated answers to the weekly topic, and a man who is so horny he tries to become a monk. Up first Joseph’s IRL news is actually brief for once as he only mentions in passing of his failure to acquire his CPU but purchase of the new PC Case, and Andrew sets us up the bomb with a weekly topic that causes more harm than good. Then in the industry news it’s a solo Andrew run with a new type of Sexuaility being founded, and a top ten list of the best anime with lots of PLOT. And finally in the previews we got Joseph giving up on the love of his life to become a monk at a nunnery, meanwhile Andrew attempts to solve a vampire murder mystery while checking off his bucket list during a zombie outbreak.

Episode 811: Summer 2023 Previews #2

This week on Anime Pulse we got house-cats that take care of their humans, animators who had to keep living with their parents, and trying to sneak in a birthday gift. Up first Joseph rounds up his three games before talking about how he wants to surprises his old man, and Andrew is looking fashionable as heck with his latest weekly community topic. Then in the industry news we talks about some Japanese police who get into hot water with the TCG community, and more about the difficulties with being a fledgling animator in the animation industry these days. Lastly the second round of previews hit us with Joseph becoming a vending machine in another world that dreams of filling said world with pastries, and Andrew forgets his glasses at school but gets to go home to a human size cat.

Episode 810: Summer 2023 Previews #1

This week on Anime Pulse we got the first round of previews from the 2023 summer season, the top betrayals in anime, and Cloverworks pulling an EA. Up first Joseph continues his new PC built purchases and challenges himself in Inscryption, and Andrew has nothing to say so they skip straight to the show topic of the week. The in the industry news Andrew goes it alone when Joseph plays the Uno Reverse card, covering topics like how Spy x Family is not making enough for its studio and Japan’s space agency likes Gundam space lesbians. And finally in the previews Joseph is reincarnated as a baby but grows up to work under a short stack, and Andrew attempts to avoid cutting anyone with his reverse blade except for demons who use curses.

Episode 809: Is It Grand to Pick Up Girls in a Blue Dungeon

This week on Anime Pulse we got PC upgrades ordained by the Gaming Gods, the women of Japan getting a big win in health care, and living the college dream at a scuba shop. Up first Joseph has had a tumultuous week full of things, and Andrew is looking for a roommate from the anime world. Then in the industry news, what’s this? Only Joseph has something!? The world has truly gone mad! Well, at least women in Japan can buy morning after pills now without a prescription. And lastly in the final reviews show before the summer previews start Joseph delves potentially one last time into the depths of a dungeon to hit on girls, and Andrew goes back to college to attending a diving course full of drinking.

Episode 808: Uncle 2.0 Another Can (Not) World

This week on Anime Pulse we got another Eva movie, that One Piece Netflix trailer, and dinner from a Golf Course. Up first Joseph is suffering the heat the best he can, talking about his meal from Iron’s Edge and Andrew doubles down on the heat with Hot Takes after giving some thoughts on Fire Emblem Engage. Then in the industry news the kid who more or less started the sushi terrorism trend receives a hefty fine, and the trailer for One Piece the Movie dropped and it is indeed a trailer for a movie. And finally reviews have Joseph returning from being isekai’d only to find he’s become an uncle, and Andrew refuses to get in the giant robot again to fight angels.

Episode 807: Welcome to Slayer School! Entertainment-kun

This week on Anime Pulse we got Team Rocket levels of crime, a one-sided Demon Slayer review, and questioning anime characters. Up first Joseph doesn’t have much to say about his week for once and Andrew does a little better in his Street Fighter rankings, but the community section steals the show with a very small number of replies to an ask-me-anything themed interview with any character of your choice. Then in the industry news Black Lagoon opens two cafes, a costly Demon Slayer advertisement, and resealed Pokemon cases found full of drugs. And lastly in the reviews Joseph graduates from demon school feeling a little underwhelmed, and Andrew goes to the Red Light district to hunt demons.

Episode 806: The Evangelion in Shadow 1.0

This week on Anime Pulse we got doxxing your favorite mecha anime creator, discovering mystical trails, and becoming Atomic. Up first Joseph walked himself straight into a fairy tail forest after suffering from food poisoning, and Andrew is being killed by heat and pollen while seeking an isekai world to move to. Then in the industry news we have a follow up to the Oshi no Ko suicide relation story, a man stealing a pack of lactic acid drinks, and the One Piece creator is heading into surgery. Lastly the reviews have Joseph becoming Atomic and requesting more Power, and Andrew has to get in the Eva and battle angels for his very first time.

Episode 805: Lycoris Flops

This week on Anime Pulse we got sandy scallops, bad ass girls doing yuri things, and the Bay Area in San Francisco gets some new mascots. Up first Joseph did another long ass walk and ate a little too much habachi dinner, and Andrew wants to know what anime do not deserve to see the light of day again. Then in the industry news Shonen Sunday releases their results for top heroine, a bus drive around Fukuoka that might spirit you away, and some new anime mascots grace San Francisco’s public transportation. And finally we have return to our regularly schedule reviews as Joseph belly flops into a bad VR game, and Andrew takes out some terrorists while chewing on some lycoris.

Episode 804: Heavenly Chainsaw Hero

This week on Anime Pulse we got scrapped knees, adopting anime children, and a man made of chainsaws. Up first Joseph recounts the tail of how he ended up looking like he lost a fight with a bunch of rocks, and Andrew is curious to know what kids in anime you’d like to adopt if given the chance. Then in the industry news we have a final decision on what KyoAni plans to do with their old site after the arsonist attack, a lady thinks Oshi no Ko is about her dead daughter, and summer anime that are really going to mess with the norm. And finally we end on a Gattai as Joseph avoids being dragged into the hype for a man saw chain, and Andrew kills a yakuza member while searching for a place called heaven.

Episode 803: Spring 2023 Previews #5

This week on Anime Pulse we got arresting a Visual Novel YouTuber, disappointing meals, and our final previews for the Spring 2023 season. Up first Joseph was left disappointed and his day ruined by floppy onion rings, and Andrew is asking our audience what sleeper hits they found this season. The in the industry news we hear about how Japan is arresting grey zone crimes in an effort to enforce an unenforceable matter of copyright, getting back at your driving school by sending 1500 folded papers, and hugging is OK once more. And then in the previews, our final previews for Spring, as Joseph goes from fat to fab after stepping through a magical door and Andrew grinds his character to level 999 so he can pay his new manga assistant from another world.
