Episode 741: The Grimgar of Ashes and Evolution


This week on Anime Pulse we got evolving fruit, our favorite isekai, and more Spice and Wolf. First up Joseph had a snow day and is doing his best to calm down editing Joseph, meanwhile Andrew wants to know what our favorite isekai are. Then in the industry news some thieves have been stealing something in plain sight, Kyoto Animation wants you to break them off a piece, and Studio Ghibli makes a lamp. Finally the reviews have Joseph take a bite out of some really nasty tasting fruit and lose 30 lbs, and Andrew learns the hard way that isekai is not all fun and games.

This week on Anime Pulse we got Himalayan burgers, magical courtrooms, and technical difficulties in multiplayer. Up first is the usual IRL news as Joseph has finally moved forward in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, and Andrew asks us for our top wizards/mages in anime. Then in the industry news it’s a solo helping from Joseph, as he wishes his digestive system was 10 years younger so he could partake of a stupid large burger. Finally in the tail end of the show the reviews wrap things up with Joseph revealing the true anime of year from 2021, and Andrew represents two separate yet equally important groups: The police, who investigate magical crime, and the district attorneys, who prosecute the wizards.

Episode 739: The Dungeon of Little Monster

This week on Anime Pulse we got a return of the french fry shortages, best dates in anime, and the passing of a furry legend. Up first Joseph shares some somber news that his family cat of 23+ years has passed away, and Andrew tries to lighten up the room with talk of our favorite romantic dates in anime. Then in the industry news the potatoes come up short again but this time not for McDonalds, and Crunchyroll hold a totally fair and honest poll on the best anime of late year. Lastly the reviews see us out with Joseph delving deep into the darkest dungeon, and Andrew attempts to deal with a boisterous troublemaker who confesses his love for him.

Then in the industry news we make one last trip to look back at the disaster known as High Guardian Spice, and even more participants in the Japanese Potato shortage. And lastly in the previews Joseph debates how to best rebuild his kingdom after trying to secretly sell it off, and Andrew gets raised in the 24th Ward before heading to a prestigious school where he wears a Sailor uniform.

This week on Anime Pulse we got a new season of anime, potato wars, and incoming snow storms. Up first Joseph is scratching his monkey brain over why his iMac is getting so hot, and Andrew asks the community what anime they are hyped for this season. This week on Anime Pulse we got no large McDonald’s french fries, a dormitory for shota lovers, and New Years anime. Up first is the IRL news as Joseph talks about his time thus far with Pokemon Shield, and Andrew would like to know if any community members out there know of any good new years anime. Then in the industry news we get a Andrew sandwich, with topics like the possibility of a Netflix produced Scott Pilgrim anime and the downfall of Pachinko. Lastly are the reviews as Joseph is taken in by some very wholesome, buxom, not at all Shotacons and Andrew builds some anatomically correct GunPla.

This week on Anime Pulse we got going back in time to take a new career path, Rumiko Takahashi is making a return in 2022, and the best and worst of 2021. First up is the IRL news with Joseph and Andrew celebrating the new year, talking about their top topics for best and worst anime of 2021. Then in the industry news Andrew takes it away with news of a return of the very first Rumiko work, and the website 5Chan inputs their top 10 anime of 2021. Finally in the first reviews of the new year Joseph awakens to find he has groundhoged himself right after he graduated High School, and yakuza Andrew gets hit on the head by a powerful girl falling from the sky and ends up as her caretaker.

Episode 732: Realist Megalo Box 2 Rebuilt

This week on Anime Pulse we got Mangakas going to jail, Christmas gifts, and Rock’em Sock’em Megalo 2. Up first the IRL news sees the 3rd Annual Anime Pulse Gift Exchange occur, with Joseph and Andrew having a grand ol’ time discovering what the other bought for them. Then in the industry news, just two articles to tide us over until the New Year with the probable end of Galko-chan and the possible return of Rurouni Kenshin. Finally it’s our last review show of the year as Joseph is summoned to another world to do their taxes, and Andrew equips his robots arms to play Punch Out: Nomad edition.
