Teacher threatens to Kill Boss

Many of us have undoubtedly at one point or another wished ill for our employers.Such was the case for atwenty-nine year old Elementary teacher in Yokohama’s Tsurumi-ku. This teacher took out his frustrations by writing blogs on the Internet. In said blogs the teacher stated that he wanted to kill the Vice-Principal of his school. Episode 141: Destruction of the Antique Bakery

It’s a great show this week. Both Ichigo and I are here, well sorta, yes Ichigo is still in Japan and will probably continue to be there for the foreseeable future. This week week give a little talk about the news, Ichigo regales us of tales from the land of the rising sun and we talk about a couple of shows. The Pokemon Shinkansen

There’s been a lot of hype surrounding the new Pokemon themed Shinkansen (bullet train) by the JR East company running here in Japan. Well today I took a trip on it. It was the Asama Shinkansen between Tokyo and Nagano. We start off with a pic of good old Pikachu and the fire monkey (names will not be included other than Pikachu because I don’t know them. If you care look it up yourself).

Osaka and Nara wanderings

After my last day in Kyoto I caught the Hikari shinkansen to Shin-Osaka (New Osaka) station. There my friend Mori-san picked me up and drove me to his house in Kashiwara-shi, which is a city to the SE of Osaka. It’s about 30 minutes by car, and right on the Yamatoji line that runs between Osaka and Nara. His parents Ryo and Toyoko are very nice people. Ryo knows a decent amount of English, and they both speak clearly enough that I don’t have trouble understanding their Kansai-ben. Continue reading “Osaka and Nara wanderings”
