Episode 198: 20th Century Manimani

Greetings and salutations. We’re back with a long show. We do the news (a lot of it), review 20th Century Boys (the trilogy) and Sora no Manimani and then I finish up with part 2 of my Introduction to Japanese. This week, more numbers, yes/no, excuse me and this, that and that. Leave comments on your thoughts or to point out where I made a mistake.

Don’t forget, only one more week left to submit your favorite clips from the last 197 episodes of Anime Pulse for the immense episode 200 extravaganza. Go to the forums to see the thread.

  1. Hey Batou, if you could say ‘umm’ and ‘erm’ a little less… that would make the show 10x better. Or maybe just say ‘sou desu ne….’ like Japanese people like to, at least 15 times every sentance. 🙂

  2. Unfortunately, I had to cut this episode short, because I haven’t read 20th Century Boys yet, and I plan on it as soon as I catch up on Pluto.

Interesting segment, again, Ichigo, but Batou did not say one word during that entire thing.

You guys don’t really have any synergy anymore. This episode was a perfect example of that. Batou sounds bored off his rocker. I really hope this isn’t becoming a chore for him.
