Manga Pulse 501: Pony Cock

Would you look inside this barrel? There’s barely anything in there. It’s like we’re scraping out the bottom. Yeah, it seems we’re getting wood leavings when we run our scraper over it. I suppose we’ll have to order another hogs head of manga straight from the land of the rising sun. Until then, we’ll wash off these two and do a review. We have some manga adaptations of eighties properties.

Tim has My Little Pony The Manga. Which is based on the modern show and not the eighties but the show was a reboot so it counts. It’s drawn in the four koma style but has full chapters. Each one being episodic means nothing impacts much of anything. They may or may not comic versions of the show as Tim hasn’t seen it so take that as you will. It ends up in the realm of Borders.

Weltall has Transformers The Manga. This is from the eighties and was published around the time of the original show. So it looks incredibly eighties in the human character design. There’s supposed to be a plot but every chapter is too short to let anything breathe. Weltall figures you’re better off reading the Transformers wiki or VHS copies of Beast Wars. So it gets a Burn It.
