Another manga show, so another pair of manga and a pair of ratings. Just another day in paradise where the manga is always ready to be smacked down or uplifted. You would be wrong though and gloriously so. We actually have three manga today though one dovetails right into the other. Like a box joint of mixed metaphors.
Tim has a request in Dragonball. Yes, the manga the really made Akira Toriyama the name he was and this is an omnibus of the first three volumes. If you’ve ever watched the original anime then you’ve seen this origin story. Bulma is hunting dragon balls with her detector and runs, literally, into Goku. He joins her on the quest then meets and defeats the red ribbon army. And that’s all in volume one. It gets a Read It Now.
Next up is Tim with Dragonball Super. This takes place in between the final arc of the original Dragonball series and the very end of the series where it skips forward a bunch. It introduces Beerus , alternate universes, a tournament, and even a whole other Frieza. It gets a Borders.
Weltall then has Betrayed by the Hero, I Formed a Milf Party With His Mom. It is an isekai because that’s all that gets made in the story factories in the land of the rising sun. Our protagonist is a middle aged gentleman who gets send to another world. He later gets betrayed by the party because the actual hero is worried our dude wants to sleep with everyone else in the party because they’re all girls. SO he goes to gather the antagonist’s mom as a party member. It gets a Borders.
