You know what people really love? No, not millions of dollars in unmarked bills delivered to their front door. It’s sequels after years of waiting. Which is why the movie Tron: Legacy was the most beloved of all. So how do you follow up with that? Wait over fifteen years and deliver another sequel. So we get Tron: Ares[2025].
Tron: Ares asks the bold question, did anybody watch or remember Tron: Legacy? It stars Evan Peters as the grandson of Dillinger and he created Ares, played by Jared Leto. Baby Dillinger is trying to sell weapons and soldiers brought into the real world via lasers. Meanwhile Greta Lee is CEO of the good company that Flynn founded and is trying to make orange trees that are permanent with code Jeff Bridges found and didn’t use.
Weltall then has A Working Man[2025]. All we need to say is that it’s Jason Statham. He plays a contractor kind of guy. Don’t worry he also has a particular set of skills. Which get put to use when a girl gets grabbed by baddies. This means Jason gets to go on a rampage with a set of power tools and a can do attitude. Also guns because what’s a Statham movie without that.
Tim has Dragged Across Concrete[2018]. It has a bunch of people you’re familiar with doing gritty things. Like Mel Gibson being something of a racist cop who’s getting too old for all this shit. It all revolves around a heist that’s going down to snatch a shipment of gold that’s come into the local bank. It’s overly indulgent and takes up a lot of your time for very little payoff.
