We don’t like it but we do not fight it like some people. We do a manga review show so there’s something of a floor to the expectation we just have to accept.
To that end, Tim has Rick and Morty The Manga. What this is, is not an adaptation of various episodes made into a comic by clipping screenshots. Unlike some Original English Language adaptations we could name. It is a variation on the style of the show and uses characters to do anime tropes. Volume one is a weak pastiche of Evangelion, Attack on Titan, and a few other references. It ends up in the Burn It pile.
Weltall has The Way of the House Husband. You probably have seen this referenced even if you don’t know it. The concept is simple, a now retired Yakuza member is a stay at home husband while his wife works a job. It’s an episodic comic form where the punchline is often gang member trying to interact with regular society. It gets a Borders.
