Popcorn Pulse 274: Oak Soul

Robots. Think on that for a minute, won’t you? See, we too can write Black Mirror episodes. Also, what about cameras? What if there was one inside your bidet water supply? And it possessed the memories of Winston Churchill? Scary, right? On that note, we have Soulm8te[2026].

It’s supposed to take place in the same universe as M3gan. If there’s anything you can find in is and you’re a fan of M3gan, please write us an email. We have our guy, David, who is sad because his wife died. He’s also an engineer for a small startup that gets bought. They give him a AI agent and a robot for it to live in. This goes perfectly well and the end is David remarries and puts her up for sale after. Or she becomes an obsessed robot that tries to kill him.

Weltall has The End of Oak Street[2026]. It’s set in the eighties and has a family that gets sent back to one of the ages of dinosaurs. Enjoy us rediscovering how big the Cretaceous and Jurassic eras truly are. Also know that this family and their entire neighborhood got sent back in time. So they run around, dodging dinos and trying to figure out how to get back to the glorious eighties and mall walking.

Tim then has 13[2010]. This is a movie based on a Georgian-French film. So you just know it’s going to be uplifting. Sam Riley plays Vincent. He’s works an an electrician in Ohio and his family is broke. He hears about a contest where people platy really, really complicated Russian Roulette for a lot of money. Jason Statham is also present but he’s not a contestant. And if you listen closely, you can hear General Zod shouting deafeningly at the contestants.
