Episode 216: Miracle Train and lots of previews

We’ve got a great show this week. Per request I go a bit more indepth on skiing in Hokkaido. We also talk about the news and then Anime. Batou reviews Miracle Train and I did a first episode preview of the following nine (that’s right, nine) new shows: Ookami Kakushi, Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu, Chuu Bra!!, Dance in the Vampire Bund, Hanamaru Kindergarten, Kaito Reinya, Ladies vs. Butlers, Omamori Himari and Seikon no Quasar. Here’s a hint, they were mostly bad.

After much time adjusting levels on the equipment we finally got this one recorded. We have had issues with Batou changing levels… a lot. Thankfully we everything to the point it actually sounds pretty good.

Spike Spencer to Voice Characters in Lunar: Silver Star Harmony

Some great news from our friend Spike Spencer.

LOS ANGELES, CA – Jan 14TH – It has been announced that actor Spike Spencer is to voice two characters in the Classic RPG Lunar: Silver Star Harmony, developed by Game Arts and XSEED Games, that will be released exclusively on the PSP system in Q1, 2010.

Spike will provide the voices for Nall (a small, winged creature resembling a white cat) and Eiphel (the main villain in the new Four Heroes scenario part of the game). “I really enjoyed being able to do two extremes of the voice spectrum in the same show,” said Spike. Nall’s voice is in a very high range and Eiphel’s is very low, thus showcasing the range in the actor’s voice.

We review Tatakau Shishou, Hipira-kun and Aki Sora (not bad for incest porn). Also, I know I said that Aki Sora could mean empty sky, it could also mean Autumn sky, I just didn’t mention that in the show.

Episode 213: Lighter than White

Me and Tim lambaste incorrect us of the Queen’s Engrish while taking potshots at anyone and everyone that enters out sites. We manage to occasionally steer the conversation back towards news and eventually get around to reviewing a show, Darker Than Black, 1 and 2. It’s not our best show, but no where near our worst show, I’ll try and add a little more insanity into the mix next time. And I received the most awesome of presents, The Penguin Soda Maker, from Soda Club A big THANK YOU to my most favorite person 😀 So enjoy the show and I’ll tell you all how awesome the soda is next week. Oh and send me some ideas for reviews for next week.
