Episode 557: Spring 2018 Previews #3

This week on Anime Pulse, Joseph digs in with his IRL news talking about a new coworker, his fascination with arm cannons, and the weather. Andrew per his own confession, has nothing going on in his own life, so he goes straight into community stuff. Afterwards Joseph gives a big “eh” to a ranking of the geekiest states in America, and Andrew has some follow up news to an old piece about a canceled anime. Finally comes the previews, where Joseph talks about Fire Emblem Heroes: The Anime, Andrew rides a dragon wearing parts of a Jet, and the two of them swoon over an office romance.

Popcorn Pulse 82: I Beast

All hail the great leader, Timothy Dalton. For whom the skies part and sunshine bursts forth when he awakens. Without him, the crops would be dry and corn blight would ruin the potatoes. Thanks be to him for holding back the great western decadence from infecting our proud culture. Keep laughing lord Dalton so that the world will continue to turn. Episode 556: Spring 2018 Previews #2

Anime Pulse brings you another episode, this one is all loli all the time. We got lolis calling us Onii-chan, we got lolis shooting guns, and we got lolis in the news. First things first though is the IRL news, with Joseph breaking down his 401K and Andrew jumping straight into community stuff. Afterwards the industry news sees topics like a singing contest to start your career, and a theme park being built featuring studio Ghibli anime. And finally in previews Joseph has a bunch of little sisters quickly calling him Onii-chan, Andrew critiques the tactics used in an online gun game, and both the hosts co-preview a bipolar otaku and a girl who takes all sorts of abuse.

Episode 555: Spring 2018 Previews #1

A slightly technical problems show of Anime Pulse this week, with Andrew cutting in and out leaving Joseph to twiddle his thumbs. But all the internet shutting down wouldn’t stop these two, as Joseph talks about the passing of his grandfather and Andrew jumps into community stuff. Only one piece of Industry News this week, and it’s all about a recent episode of Darling in the Frankxx pissing off fans. Finally the previews are here, with Joseph showing his disappointment towards the new DxD and his love for the new Lupin. Andrew on the other hand is ok with a new Vampire anime, but has no time for hot guys dressing up like Butlers.

Episode 554: Anthem of the Imōto

This week on Anime Pulse we get to hear Joseph perform his voice acting as a southern bell for one of our listeners, and Andrew grimaces at a poll for the top most interesting anime that came from light novels. The IRL news is all about how unfair Fire Emblem Heroes has been treating Joseph, and Andrew has plenty of community stuff to cover. Industry news brings us a way to import your waifu in the real world, and a new life sized figurine that will put a $15k size hole in your wallet. And then finally the reviews are here one last time before we head into previews, with Joseph working as an author and Andrew stops talking until he can sing.

Episode 553: Boku no Kanojo ga Ito Junji

Did you like that joke episode? I hope not, because it sucked to edit. Back to the way things should be, we start off with IRL news about Joseph sneaking about in Dishonored 2 and Andrew getting around to playing Doki Doki Literature Club. The community section runs a bit long, but that’s only because there’s plenty to talk about when it comes to popular YouTubers. Industry news is rather depressing, but that’s what you get when the co-founder of Ghibli passes away and Japan’s second favorite pastime is showing sings of dying off. At least the reviews break away from the bad news, with Joseph dating a perverted girlfriend and Andrew thumbing his nose at a collection of horror stories.

Manga Pulse 377: Breaking Wind

There’s something quietly amusing about us doing a sports themed manga. Mostly because neither Tim or Weltall are involved in any sports. They also don’t watch or follow any particular teams. Yet they’ve reviewed a manga for most major and a lot of lesser watched sports. From football to foreign football, tennis, shot put, boxing and who knows what else. Popcorn Pulse 81: John Goodman

Dan. Dan? Dan! If you were unfortunate enough to have grown up in the nineties you probably heard a shrill harpy cry that out to in deafening peals to cast and audience alike. It was his stalwart resistance to the sonic assault that earned John, then without surname, his moniker of Goodman. Once he sealed the demon back in the oubliette, he was free to pursue an acting career. Of which we have two particular gems. Continue reading “Popcorn Pulse 81: John Goodman”
