After learning that tid bit of information, come back for IRL news about lackluster Fire Emblem draws and the community section. Then industry news sees Joseph talk about virtual YouTubers, and Andrew shakes his head at the backwards thinking of Toei Animation. 1. I actually played a bit of the first Nekopara game after a catgirl-loving friend gushed about how great it was. Didn’t take long for me to drop it. I just couldn’t get past how the mostly human catgirls were treated as sub-human possessions rather than people. It was just incredibly uncomfortable. But hey, the franchise seems to have a large enough fanbase, so clearly there are a tonne of people out there who’d disagree with me. xD

    1. Yeah…. a friend of a friend of mine is into it and while i wasn’t really up for trying it I thought the anime would be a subsitute as well the kickstarter thing being interesting. The slavery of a seemingly intelligent species is disturbing to me as well.

Yeah 1million dollars strong so a lot of love. Depending on how DokiDoki Literature Club’s video goes I may record Nekopara for jokes as well.

  2. I think we can solve the Juuni Taisen Best Girl argument in a way befitting a death game anime: We create a harem with all the female characters, and, at any time, all the members of the harem are free to challenge each other to a fight to the death. Even the husbando may be challenged!

I do think Toei is a little stodgy concerning the whole DB Super public event in Mexico, but, considering what animators notoriously make in Japan compared to other countries, I think I would have told foreigners to support the anime legally if I were in their shoes.

I would love if Japan would sponsor events in Latin countries. Latinos love Dragon Ball! I think it’s a toss-up between African-Americans (of which I am one) and Latinos over who loves the series more.

  3. I have to disagree about the comments with regards to Pewd’s sticking to his principles. He sold out when he was making videos about Lootcrates at the height of his popularity, then started going off the rails when he started moving away from gaming and making vlogs about how everyone hates him for having more money than God. And he really went off the rails when he shouted racial epithets on that one stream and got pissed for being called out on it as well as all the companies he had sponsorships with dropping him like a hot potato. The companies themselves are obviously not good Samaritans themselves but to talk of Pewds like he is some sort of principled good guy is a bit disingenuous. Everyone has a price. Now where is my pay cheque, Jim Sterling? 😉 XD

  4. I’m catching up!

Yes, Joseph, be my VA! I did a happy clap at my desk when you resurrected the voice.
