Popcorn Pulse 265: Release the Butler

Open the hatch. Seriously, it’s damp down here at the bottom of the ocean and a bit cold. Plus we just saw bits of the Titan sub go floating by. We don’t want to have to wade through anymore of the compressed people bits than may exist already. The cleverer of you may have sussed out that the oceanic intro signals a water based movie. Which brings us to a Norwiegian film, Kraken[2026].

The plot is there’s a salmon fishery in Norway that is dealing with a fictional parasite. They use sonic technology, and not just sonic or hypersonic. But alternate dimensional chaos emerald Sonic, Steve. Or maybe just ultra sonic. Which is making all the locals angry and waking up a big thing off the edge of one of the fjords.

Next up is Tim with The Skulls[2000]. It’s very, very loosely based on the “secret” society of the Skull and Bones. Joshua Jackson meets with Paul Walker and they both get inducted into “the Skulls”. Things get complicated when Jackson’s movie friend decides to break into the secret society and get himself killed and the murder covered up.

Weltall then has Greenland: Migration[2026]. This is a sequel to Greenland[2020]. The apocalyptic event has happened and the king of Spartaland and his family are alive. Though he has megacancer and wants to now get them from the butthole of the world to someplace nice like Europe. You know the united country of Europe. We guess the environment decided to spare Portugal because it didn’t have the heart to crush what little of their empire remains.
