Manga Pulse 561: Give Her Some of that Bat Love

It’s been hot folks. The depths of summer have arrived along with the heat. We’re living through some wonderful triple digits for those of us that use freedom units. The rest of the world can just be wrong and measure weather with an imprecise system made up by, gag, the French. You’d think that alone would be enough to convince the rest of the world to abandon it. Also, we still have manga reviews.

Up first is Tim with I’m Nearly 30, but This is My First Love. We have a twenty eight year old woman, Yamamoto who is finally dating and really likes this guy. The initial catch is the guy, Kanata, is not really a guy with dating history. It turns out he also hasn’t dated at all in spite of the fact he’s thirty three. It gets a Borders.

Weltall then has a request in Billy Bat. We begin with a comic about an anthropomorphic bat who looks kind of like mighty mouse as not-Batman. This transitions to a guy drawing it in a studio in the US just after WWII. As he’s finishing work on his original character, Billy Bat, someone tells him that he’s seen the bat and logo elsewhere. So he goes over to Japan to hunt down another creator. It gets a Crackers and there’s a lot more going on so you should really listen.
