VG Pulse 61: Interpretive Dancer

Here is another solo show as DarkGod has one more week left for her vacation. However this means that this is another episode featuring the fast talking Millennium. The news is a mixed bag of plenty. Including more of my thoughts on CoD Elite, they may in fact suprise a lot of you. Then it is off to the forums. A weak showing this time around but thats ok, next weeks forum may do worse. We will have to wait and see, its one forum that will be one to remember. Then it is off to my review of Kinect Adventures. My thoughts on the game may suprise some of you. Not to mention how my cat Sandy helps out during the game. Good times, Listen in to find out. Continue reading “VG Pulse 61: Interpretive Dancer”

VG Pulse 60: Anarchy in the VGP

This is one anarchy filled edition of VGP. Right in the middle of her vacation and with less than six hours notice, DarkGodAkito and her friend Kasumarae decide that they want to cohost the show with me. Straight from the UK and on their laptops no less. The news is definetly falling off as we head into summer time. But we find enough to get by. Then its off to the forums, to get your thoughts on modding video games. To finish off the episode in style, DGA and Kas review a game and I tell everyone my story of buying my new Xbox 360. Good times, Listen in to find out. Continue reading “VG Pulse 60: Anarchy in the VGP”

VG Pulse 59: Laws in the Clouds

I’m solo for the next three shows, as DarkGod is now in Manchester. The News this week is another random grab bag. The Big three news bits deal with Lulzsec, The Supreme Court and The next big law that could potentially affect video games, SB 978. As we get further into the summer news in the games industry will keep getting harder to find. Untill the explosion that is the fall holiday season. I’ll worry about that when we get there. In the meantime I look into the forum and get your thoughts on sequilitis. Once that is done, I get to review the game I’ve been teasing for a few weeks now. It’s a indie game on steam that is easily overlooked.( HINT – That is not a good idea) All that and more, Good times inside. Listen in to find out. Continue reading “VG Pulse 59: Laws in the Clouds”

VG Pulse 58: Hacker Physics

In this random grab bag episode, we talk about a little bit of everything and nothing at the same time. The news is a shotgun pattern of a little bit of good, a little bit of bad and some in between. While at the same time being only loosely relevent. Then its off to the forums to get everyones thoughts on the recent hackings that have been going down lately. Not suprisingly everyone who posted has strong feelings on the subject. To wrap up this episode DarkGod is here with an Iphone/Ipod Touch game to review. Just before she leaves for 3 weeks to the United Kingdom. All that and more with anime inspired intro and outro themes to boot. Good times inside, Listen in to find out. Continue reading “VG Pulse 58: Hacker Physics”

VG Pulse 57: Hail to the News

This is going to be a very special episode of VGP for the history books. Its a solo show for myself with an unprecidented amount of news. Had DarkGod been here, we would have gone for over two hours. But given that it was just me, I summerized, skipped a few and ended up talking really fast. Still lots of news to go over; Nintendo, Hackers and E3 leftovers. The forums this week was a good showing, you shared your thoughts on E3 2011. We won’t have any more E3 forums till next year. But right now is another good one on the recent hackings. Then it is off to the review which I may never hear the end of, Duke Nukem Forever. It came out, was then promptly hated on by all main stream gaming media and I’m now here to give my thoughts on the entire matter. Send you opinions on this matter to my email if you want, I won’t change my stance on it. Good times, Listen in to find out. Continue reading “VG Pulse 57: Hail to the News”

VG Pulse 56: Fabled E3

This week is a full house as Tim, Weltall and Bionic all join us to look back at the week that was E3 2011. Both the good and the bad, but mostly just bad, we look at what stood out to us. The conferences and games get discussed again, in a bit more detail. Also we get everyones opinion on Nintendo’s new piece of hardware, for better or for worse. I still don’t like the controller, but it is still early, I will hold out hope. We then skim over the forums and give you our most embarrassing E3 memory. Then its of to a review. Some may remember back in VGP 29, The Fan Show, That Bionic did a preview of Fable 3. He is back to finish his review. Lots to talk about, with lots of people to do the talking. Also the Manga Pulse crew is here and not one mention of their favorite furry creature. Good Times, Listen in to find out. Continue reading “VG Pulse 56: Fabled E3”

VG Pulse 55: Dreamcast World Dusk

Well here we are, a few days away from E3. The news is a 50/50 mix of rumors and announcements. The rumors I can deal with. The announcements just before a major gaming convention where everyone announces there big projects, well that just leaves me wondering wtf? Then I have relapsing memories of 2008 E3 and that is bad. The forums tell us your thoughts on what you want to see at the show, then we go into our wishes. Then we have two reveiws to round this show out before next weeks nightmare. A very special thanks to FamilyJules7x for permission to use his cover on the end of this podcast 🙂 Continue reading “VG Pulse 55: Dreamcast World Dusk”

VG Pulse 54: Chasing A Grand City Fail

This weeks episode is brouhgt to you by failure. That is a technical, tempurature and english failure. I couldn’t figure it out untill the next day but skype decide to haunt the input volume on our mic. So our volume is anywhere from really soft to screaming loud. Audacity also went and had a bit of a tantrum as well. After an unprecidented 9 hours of editing its not going to get any better, sorry. So we recorded the show on Sony Vegas movie maker. It worked well enough. As for what happened during the show, Vailreth joins us once again to discuss the video games and sutch. The sutch being how hot the weather is. Once the three of us get through the news, We continue to the forums and butcher the English language. Not as bad as Fox news butchered the facts but still. Then we finish up with two reveiws. One that is good and the other that turns into a rant that goes on for way too long. Good times, Listen in to find out. Continue reading “VG Pulse 54: Chasing A Grand City Fail”

VG Pulse 53: Deadliest Colosseum

In the spirit of seeing how long a show we can make unintentionaly, we go the distance and cross over the 90 minute mark. We go over the Sony PSN tragedy in progress, the latest rumors for E3 and not to be out done, Fox news is in the mix. Basically it is a lot of news, however we do go into some good stories as they become relevent. Once all that is done we look into your thoughts on multiplayer. Then it is off to the reviews, Two different ones for a change. Shocking I know, Good times to be had, Listen in to find out. Continue reading “VG Pulse 53: Deadliest Colosseum”

VG Pulse E3 Special Day 1

Here is a very fast talking Millennium, Telling everyone in 33 minutes the highlights of Day 1 at E3 2011. Microsoft got everything moving, well sort of. Then EA showed their hand, with Ubisoft right after doing the same. Finally to end the day Sony showed up and gave their official apology for the psn debacle. It was not all tears for Sony as they moved on and Kept right on going to end the day strong, well as strong as the day could end. With Big announcements and even bigger disappointments, Listen in to find out who showed big and who tripped and fell flat on there face. Good times inside, listen in to find out. Continue reading “VG Pulse E3 Special Day 1”
