By the way, it’s not just anime name that actually means “The King of the Cave”. Gankutsuo is how the novel was originally titled in Japan in Meiji era. After publication it was a great success and for a long time Gankutsuo was a common popular name. They also changed some names in the book, for example, Edmond Dants became Dan’yuu Tarou 🙂
