Manga Pulse 57: One Pound Element of kwanzaa

It’s time for Kwanzaa and we bring you much manga love to you. Tim still has latent sickness, bastard will never get over it, oh my throat hurt, I can’t breath….

One Pound Gospel – Wouldn’t kick it out of bed for crackers.
Element Line – Read it at Borders. Continue reading “Manga Pulse 57: One Pound Element of kwanzaa”

Episode 162: Fushigi no Ken or Hokuto Yugi, Yeah we're that confused but it could be worse.

So yeah we’ve done Fushigi Yugi before, but we’ve never had Tim tell us his thoughts on it, oh how the anger flows. I think he might have been foaming at the mouth when I first recommended he talk about that series. There is some history between Fushigi Yugi and Tim, kinda of like the history between a guy and his crazy ex that is taking half his paycheck in alimony and wont give back his letter jacket from high school, he can’t let it go even though that was 20 years ago. But those were his glory days, he was big man on the high school campus cause he was on the football team now he’s just some office shmuck in a cubicle with an ex-wife. That is the kind of history Tim and Fushigi Yugi have. Oh and I talk about the newest installment to the Fist of the North Star, I like to call it the Chronicles of Roah, and while there are not lions there is a horse.

What?
Where is Ichigo?
I told you we don’t talk about that, it’s taboo.

Fushigi Yugi – Wait until it hits the US and NetFlix it. (Barely)
Hokuto no Ken Raoh Gaiden: Ten no Haoh – Wait until it hits the US and NetFlix it.

Subscriber Chatlog – Episode 161

Wonder what you’re missing as a non-subscriber? It’s lots of wackiness. Here is the first of more (maybe) chatlogs from our ventrilo server before and during the recording of the shows. Next time I will have timestamps, but this time just know that it’s about three hours of chat, starting 50 minutes prior to the start of theO show and going through the end of the AP show. Let me know if you enjoy this. If not I won’t do it again. And please refrain from the tl;dr comments. I realize it’s freaking long.

Read it as you’re listening, maybe you’ll be able to figure out where things happen, next time I will do the time stamps, as well as mark where shows start and end.

Episode 161: Code Geass R2 = One Ounce (I mean Outs)

This week much hilarity ensues, as stories of Gaijin Santas, tail-less cats and various units of measurements abound. We discuss the news, which includes the robotic female doll who still won’t let the creepy guy touch her breasts (doh!), Keanu “Dude” Reeves who may or may not be acting in a Live Action Cowboy Bebop as well as other stories. We also review One Outs and Code Geass R2 (What a twist!). Don’t miss it.

One Outs – Wait until it hits the US and NetFlix it.

Manga Pulse 55: MAOH adapter

Tim is sick so we have issues with the funny but we make up for it with prizes and contests. We not only give away manga but this episode has the long awaited prize of the Cutie Huney print signed with original artwork by Steve Bennett.

Kyo Kara MAOH!- Even if you receive it as a present, burn the book and piss on the ashes.
Wild Adapter – Wouldn’t kick it out of bed for crackers. Continue reading “Manga Pulse 55: MAOH adapter”

Episode 160: Dual! Parallel Trouble Adventure (this works on so many levels)

When I got my normally scheduled call from Batou this morning, it was instead Tim and Weltall. Despite being in the same room, they had trouble not talking over themselves at first, but figured it out quickly. We then went on to have a great show sans Batou. We discussed the news, the benefits of a posse in Japan, biker Santa, etc… and review Dual! Parallel Trouble Adventure. Don’t miss this one.
