I wanted the Valkyria Chronicles series to have sequels on console, too. They did have sequels, though, Millennium. Did you play them? Even though they decided to take the series to portable consoles, they did give it 3 games.
Games like Flappy Bird (which didn’t “steal assets”- close, but not completely true) made so much money because when it comes to phone games, people don’t want a complex game. They want a time waster they can play as a passenger in a vehicle.
