Manga Pulse 324: It Hurts

It is time, once again, for an episode where we discuss the mangas. That’s right, we talk about the drawings done in panels which purport to be some sort of art. In our continuing quest to prove otherwise, Tim and Weltall perform admirably and full of vinegar.

Tim digs into a recommendation, Watashi ga Motete Dousunda, and butchers the Japanese title so badly that it’s only fit for use by the Taco place renowned for cheap cuisine. In it a girl who is plain and overweight calls out of school for seven days because an anime character died. She wakes up hot and gets all the attention she could want. The only complication is she prefers to watch boys make out rather than have sexy times of her own. It earns itself a Borders for being so terribly dull.

Weltall then continues the butchering of titles with Hidan no Aria. It’s the future and Japan has somehow lost its war with the crime rate. They take a cue from Bruce Wayne and spend all their money on super crime fighters who are trained from elementary school for reasons. Weltall insists that it got stupider with each passing page and dares you to listen and disagree that it earned a Burn it.

Weltall: Aria the Scarlet Ammo – Even if you receive it as a present, burn the book and piss on the ashes.
