Episode 592: Batman Slayer

In the dark of the night, when criminals commit crimes, a shining light will pierce through and reveal the truths and that light is Anime Pulse. This week the guys talk about anime they are looking forward to, Apex Legends, and more news surrounding the Vic Mignogna controversy. First up Admiral Joseph breaks down Azur Lane for us, and Andrew wants to know what Western media we’d like to see animefied. Industry news brings in topics like Japan trying to ban all pirating, and the changes to an anime’s style over the years. And returning with a vengeance are the reviews, with Andrew training to be a ninja who is also batman and Joseph kills some goblin children while totally not having sex with two girls at the same time.

To help you sort this out is your top analysts Joseph and Andrew, who talk about tax refunds and having our resident Southern Belle read off her comments. There’s also a surprise visit from Ryo, host of After Dark, who drops by to give her two cents about the allegations behind RWBY voice actor Victor Mignogna. Besides talking about the OP, Joseph also talks about cute new magna he picked up and Andrew wants us to morph a traditional anime into a CG one. Industry news comes next with the SAO author being a hit hypocritical, and 7-Elevens in Japan are no longer offering the sale of phonographic magazines. And finally the previews continue onwards as Joseph tries to build a harem with nothing but dumb girls, and Andrew is going full force with the CG.

We’re into our second week of previews, and this time each host has a theme. Joseph is all about that love, and Andrew is all about that child abuse. Of course before they get to the previews, they discuss their IRL news as Joseph celebrates the termination of a bad employee and Andrew is excited about most of the hosts joining Discord. Then the industry news is up with topics like how the latest Dragon Ball movie is at the top of the Japanese charts, and the announcement that the Darling in the Franxx manga will differ from the anime. It’s a new year everyone, and you know what that means? New anime! 2019 is pulling out all the stops to bring you a crazy line up for its first season, with high school drama, sentient fighter jets, and old men who look like your girlfriend. Industry news hits hard with Bowestte in 2019, an “ugly girl” bar, and that western adaptation of Death Note has a bit of a train wreck. And then previews are back as Joseph copilots a living aircraft to fly away from drama, and Andrew grows a CG hero complex while trying to find a killer by talking too much.

Episode 585: High Score Yokio

Such is the life of a student. And finally the reviews drop down the chimney as Joseph fills your stocking with a competent RomCom, and Andrew dyes his hair pink and complains about his existential dread while eating a Toblerone.
