Popcorn Pulse 138: Balls of Doom

Come on down to the graveyard and don’t be seduced by the tall man. We’ve cracked open the skull of a b movie monster film, Phantasm(1979). We have a sad kid who works on cars that lives with his brother. Their parents are dead and then some of the older brother’s friends start dying. Bodies start disappearing and silver orbs are zooming about. All why a creepily tall man shouts “boy!” This may sound like a normal day in Kansas and it is until they stumble upon a gateway to another dimension or maybe planet appears.

Episode 688: Winter 2021 Previews #3

This week on Anime Pulse we got the potential return of a long lost Japanese sweet, the villains we love to love, and becoming overpowered by a T-posing woman. Up first IRL news sees Joseph receiving a dump of manga and trading cards, and Andrew is recovering from his rejection in Rune Factory 4. Industry news is up next bringing us one entire topic, as a professor in Japan is attempting to resurrect an extinct species of sweets. Episode 687: Winter 2021 Previews #2

This week on Anime Pulse we got our favorite anime families, the most oppressed anime gamer ever, and getting strict on cosplayers in Japan. Up first IRL news with Joseph drowning in trading cards, and Andrew would like us to be adopted by a selected list of families in anime. Then in industry news we get in topics like the 2nd cancelation of Sakura-Con, some top shonen villains, and new laws are underway to make cosplaying unprofitable. And lastly another round of previews, as Joseph is reincarnated into a jobless slime and Andrew reveals that life is the hardest game of all as he juggles his high school romances.

Episode 686: Winter 2021 Previews #1

This week on Anime Pulse we got revenge porn, trading cards, and spiders. Up first IRL news brings in Joseph showing off his new trading cards, and then Andrew asks the community what shows they’ll be partaking in this winter season. Then in industry news Joseph sits it out as Andrew talks about the delayed Evangelion movie, and some anime Crunchyroll awards. Lastly we jump into the new season as Joseph goes on a revenge quest as he moves to a starter town, and Andrew becomes a spider to investigate rotting animal corpses.
