Up first IRL news has Joseph shaking things up with his online persona, and Andrew wants to know what our 2021 anime resolutions are. Then in the Industry News the topics crossing our lane include dream jobs of Japanese children, and studio Ghibli losing its grip on being number one. Finally the reviews have Joseph putting up with an annoying kohai with huge knockers, and Andrew sends a severed horse head to his enemies after finding a baby in a dumpster.

Popcorn Pulse 136: Eviction

There’s a certain chill in the air. Pumpkin spice is back on the menu, long sleeve hoodies, and the turning of the leaves. That can mean but one thing. Nolan has another movie out.

Today we have Tenet[2020]. Weltall describes it as the Nolaniest Nolan film that has yet to Nolan. It’s about time travel, sort of. Protagonist gets involved when a terror attack occurs at a theater performance by time reversed moving soldiers. Normally us saying “protagonist” would be there because Tim forgot the character name and not a cheeky mark by a director. Nolan though wanted to see if he could outdo the use of “unobtainium”.

Episode 683: Chocotto no Soma

This week on Anime Pulse we got Christmas gifts, ol’ saint Nick, and the last supper of an overextended anime. Up first IRL news is a bit different as Joseph and Andrew exchange their gifts in the 2nd annual Anime Pulse gift exchange. Then in the industry news we have what should be the final entry in the Act Age legal saga, U.K. McDonalds updating their menu with Curry Nuggets, and some little boys and girls won’t be getting their limited edition figurines this year. And finally in the reviews Joseph begrudgingly finishes the final dish Food Wars hands him, and Andrew gets the best gift of all; a little sister!

Episode 682: Mary to Majo no Seishu Love Come wa

This week on Anime Pulse we got the worst anime of 2020, the satisfying end to a RomCom series, and hoop earrings. Up first Joseph gets snowed in and worn out trying to dig back to civilization, and Andrew is looking into our top picks for worst of the worst in 2020. Afterwards comes Industry News with a teacher being asked to remove her hoops, ANN’s preemptive discussion censoring of an anime, and a man made of chainsaws. Finally in the reviews Joseph enjoys the end of a fish-eyed romance, and Andrew joins a college for witches by stepping on some flowers.
