Popcorn Pulse 132: No Daddy

Would Nic Cage kill his kids for money? That’s the question the movie attempts to answer in Mom and Dad[2017]. Selma Blair and Cage are parents in a Californian suburb. Their kids suck and they both dream of their youth now wasted. Then something happens where modern TVs start generating static and parents start killing their kids. It goes nowhere and attempts to be far too clever while not exploring the symbolism or the scifi aspect.

Episode 675: Fall 2020 Previews #4

This week on Anime Pulse we got the scariest anime characters, a witch named Juliet, and giant corporations eating one another. First up IRL news gets Joseph happy about his recent luck in FGO, and Andrew attempts to narrow down who we feel to be the scariest anime character ever. Then in the industry news there’s more sweet food news, a look ahead into 2021 anime, and the reason why death by speeding vehicle is the most popular way to isekai. Finally we wrap up the Fall 2020 previews with Andrew goes on a witchy journey while working part-time at a connivence store, and Joseph performs the most cliche play in the history of the world as an anime.

This week on Anime Pulse we got fake burgers, favorite monsters in anime, and Norio Wakamoto. Up first IRL news has Joseph grinding away on the FGO Halloween event, and Andrew wants us to specify more traditional monsters in anime that ranked in our top picks. Afterwards the industry news brings us Jamie Marchi being a super Karen, delicious yellow burger patties, and the forgotten half-brother of Jack Black showing underaged fans his weiner. Finally in our third week of previews Joseph saves a super cute monster girl from a shitty farmer, and Andrew tries to be a high school idol while performing a rap battle that can kill.

This week on Anime Pulse we got sleepy princesses, sending children to fight the enemy of humanity, and unique monsters to anime. First up IRL news has Joseph stressing over finishing up FGO story, and Andrew asks us to list out favorite monsters that were spawned by anime.
