Episode 672: Fall 2020 Previews #1

This week on Anime Pulse we got more doughnuts, psychological thriller with a little Nipaa~, and your favorite ghosts in anime. Up first is IRL news as Joseph wraps up his main storyline in Nexomon, and Andrew is busting ghosts and making a best of chart for them. Afterwards industry news hits us with the death of voice actor Tomita Kosei, Yakuza being barred from handing out candy, and some students found a way to bring us one stop closer to real life waifus. Lastly we are finally getting into the Fall 2020 previews, as Joseph and Andrew pretend that everything is fine as cicadas cry, and then Joseph tames some slimes while Andrew breaks the seal on a cursed object and plunges himself into a world of terror.

Episode 671: Kekkai, Sore wa Nai deshou!

This week on Anime Pulse we got an end to a subbing era, Japan being desperate for children, and being reincarnated into a poor family. Up first IRL news has Joseph taming more Nexomon, and Andrew is looking ahead to the Fall 2020 season. Afterwards the industry news gets in with topics like a couple VTubers taking a mandated break after saying an apparently bad thing, GKIDS acquires the NA rights to Evangelion, and paying our respects to the end of Horrible Subs. Lastly the reviews see us out with Joseph waking up in the body of a 6 year old, learning magic, and acquiring a harem all before he turns 18. Meanwhile Andrew, an average every day boy, gets some special eyes and goes on a magical monster hunting journey to help his sister.

Episode 670: Infinite Charlotte

This week on Anime Pulse we got spooky doughnuts, riding horse girls in 2021, and taking over the body of a hot girl to get better grades. Up first IRL news is in with Joseph grabbing his Nexotrap to catch some not-Pokemon, and Andrew becomes the M. Night Shyamalan of anime. Afterwards the industry news has moving Gundams, the best anime openings, and Japanese Krispy Kremes offer some delicious holiday treats. Lastly the reviews sounds us out with Joseph playing an MMORPG with a huge ass sword that turns into a cute girl, and Andrew cheats on his homework by slipping into the body of the class president.

We start out with side notes about work and a question about whether or not we should continue the forums, before we dive into the regular news where we discuss the shocking revelation of Microsoft buying out ZeniMax Studios and Bethesda Softworks, the details on both the Xbox Series X/S and PS5 prices and release dates, and the fact that the Tokyo Games Show apparently happened!! Popcorn Pulse 130: Treasure Master

It’s an animation spamination here on the world of Popcorn and Pulses.

We kick off with the financial bomb that’s rumored to have put the nail in coffin in the traditional animation at the house of mouse. That’s right, Treasure Planet[2002]. It’s something of a re-telling of Treasure Island but in space and it features a space boatload of talent. Basically there’s a place where the pirate king buried all his treasure and they’re off to find it. There’s also music scored by the lead of the Goo Goo Dolls in case future archeologists needed to date this without the use of carbon.

This week on Anime Pulse we got Japan’s crackdown on the Wacky Tobacky, the best worst case scenarios in anime, and trying to date a girl you think is interested in someone else. Up first IRL news shows us that Joseph needs an FGO intervention, and Andrew built a bookshelf. Afterwards industry news ranks the best fast food joints to buy a burger for moon viewing, Paramount picks their director for a live action anime, and Japan can arrest you for even speaking of weed. Finally reviews gets Joseph handing in his V-card to bang a succubus, and Andrew gets swole, grows out his eyebrows, and falls in love with a girl he thinks is in love with someone else.

This week on Anime Pulse we got casting our votes for anime president of the United States, the Monster Musume creator canceling 12Beast, and a lackluster end to Borderlands 3. Up first IRL news has Joseph playing games and driving his car, meanwhile Andrew get right to the community with who we would elect to be president of the USA. Afterwards industry news sees topics like the KyoAni arsonist being used for medical science, and the continuing impact COVID is having on conventions. Lastly the reviews get Joseph going back to isekai school, and Andrew goes on a journey of self-discovery and friendship during Summer vacation.

Popcorn Pulse 129: Wish for Death

Charles Bronson. The man made of old golf bags left in the sun of death valley in august made a lot of bad movies. Including a sequel that would spawn more. Starting with Death Wish 2(1982).

He plays the architect, once again, only living in California. Not Chicago as the previous movie hinted at. He has a girlfriend and his daughter is recovering from the attack in New York. Unfortunately for him, a roving gang he angers in the park find his house after snatching his wallet. They break in, brutalize the housekeeper, kidnap the daughter, do the same to her before she leaps to her death, and think nothing of it.
