Awesome show, but you make one mistake. Dattebayo doesn’t sub One Piece.
Ah, you’re right. Kaizoku does One Piece. Good catch.
I couldn’t believe what I was hearing when you were cheering for the spearing of a greenpeace protester. That’s incredibly messed up and disturbing, you need help. Do you always cheer when you hear about an attempted murder?
Without Greenpeace and the like protesting, over fishing would go on un-noticed, including the illegal massacre of whales for ‘scientific’ purposes.
Stick to talking about anime if you are going to present such offensive and hard line right wing views please.
Actually, what I cheer is the successful defense of life and property against pirates who attack people involved in legal activities. Vigilantism is not the way to effect change, and the Greenpeace people are anything but peaceful.
“Without Greenpeace and the like protesting…”
Throwing jars of acid at people and illegally boarding ships isn’t a protest. It’s assault and criminal trespassing AT BEST! If they interfered with fishing in a way that didn’t harm people or property, you would then have a protest. Oh, you don’t believe me? Next time, instead of picketing outside of your local politicians office, sneak into his home at night and throw feces on him. Then proceed to argue in court that you were “protesting”. See what happens.
Value judgements aside, I tune in for anime and Japan news, not your views on Greenpeace and guns.
Otherwise, i appreciate your anime reviews which tend to be more insightful than many podcasts.
