Back again are you? Well then, welcome back to Anime Pulse. This week we got more new from KyoAni, previews for the summer 2019 season, and community stuff. First up is IRL news as Joseph nearly spends himself into the black, and Andrew asks us if we read the manga to anime that we watch. Then comes industry news, with topics like a treasure trove being recovered from the KyoAni fire, and a dormitory being built just for animators. And finally come more previews, with Joseph arresting perverted high school girls and Andrew sweats bullets as young school girls share their perverted desires and confess to him.

  1. All I have to say about the fate of Mikazuki Augus is you either die a hero, or live long enough to be the husbando. Life is hard on Mars, yo. Lots of graves were dug in that anime.

  2. Isekai Cheat Magician is better than WHAT? Cheat Magician was so unbelievably bland that I just barely got through the first episode. To each his own! At least Arifureta (I couldn’t have spelled that right) had an angle of a dude who’s fighting to get somewhere. Cheat Magician starts where any other isekai would.

  3. I love Cop Craft, and I think a lot of anime fans of a certain age will too. If you’re old enough to have seen a Alien Nation, the Lethal Weapon series or the Rush Hour series, cops from two different worlds is a fun premise.

  4. This episode seems to have some very recommended titles! Woo!

Late (as always, I know) I wanted to give my “female perspective” comment on Araburu Kisetsu no Otome-domo yo. I actually feel like what was described in-series is pretty accurate to (at least some) girls’ experiences in entering the strange world of sexuality! I can certainly relate to seeking out sexy bits in literature for some kind of glimpse into the erotic, while also being slightly uncomfortable with overt sharing of sexual content. Thankfully I never caught a crush in a moment of… private enjoyment, shall we say? But I could relate to that too, in a way, because that kind of sudden awkward intimate interruption is suuuuper jarring (even if you understand such a thing is normal and typical), especially when you’re less accustomed to sex and intimacy stuff overall.

Anyways! The preview definitely sounded intriguing and relevant to my interests. 😉 Thanks guys!
