Episode 623: Fall 2019 Previews #1

Is it that time of year again? Yes it is! That’s right, Anime Pulse is once again back at it with previews for the new season. First up is Joseph whose bones are creaking as the cold air rolls in, and Andrew is hitting us with the word ‘Otaku’ and what it means to us. Afterwards we talk about what very well might be the final nail in the KickVic controversy, and the exciting news that the Queen of Tsunderes will be coming to visit America. And lastly are the previews, with Joseph being summoned to another world to wrestle princesses and nuke slimes and Andrew plays basketball and boardgames with cute girls.

  1. Just a fun bit of trivia in response to Andrew’s describing of the game place owner guy from the board game anime: We actually used to have a game den in my town that was run by, you guessed it, a bald buff dude. Guy was great. A very friendly american who made amazing chocolate chip cookies that he’d sell fresh out of the oven. Place ended up closing because his prices were too fair so he couldn’t afford to keep it afloat.
Just saying that sometimes anime actually matches reality. But only sometimes.

  2. Andy, I don’t know about any other listeners, but I’d like to see pics of you as Trafalgar Law. Pics or it didn’t happen!

  3. How freaking ironic it is that I find the Ed Kramer news refreshing. If we could just have more cut-and-dry creeps who we can all side against, instead of the Vic ragebait
