Episode 492: I Don’t Want To Be A Battle Programmer

It’s another episode of Anime Pulse, like Red always introduces it as such. IRL news is up first with discussions of Hellsing Abridged, job hunting, and Dr. Strange. Industry News has monster girl contests and yummy pocket monsters, and reviews consist of a lazy computer programmer in “Battle Programmer Shirase” and a reluctant magical girl in “Mahou Shoujo Nante Mouiidesukara.”

Episode 491: Seven Deadly Bananyas

Happy Halloween everyone, another episode of Anime Pulse has arrived. Not that it’s a spooky edition or anything, unless you consider Red’s verbal molestation frightening, in which case prepare to cower in fear. We got some news about Ryo’s latest short story and Red’s first play through of a Persona game, followed up by crossdressing cosplay getting a limp thumbs up and expensive smoking for the 2020 olympics. As for reviews, Ryo handles the short but cute Bananya and Red gets all touchy feely with Nanatsu no Taizai.

Episode 490: Fall 2016 Previews

Fall’s here everyone, and with it comes a new season of anime. Sadly this season is somewhat lacking, so this will be the only previews show for the fall 2016 season. First up however is IRL news about new microphones, anime conventions, and bad movies. That’s followed up by industry news about Goku’s big secret, an expensive Pokemon card, and foreigners being called a hassle on bullet trains. And lastly are the previews, of which there are six, so buckle in, you’re in for a long one.

Episode 489: Rich Otaku

Yes it’s safe, sexually suggestive Red is gone this week. In fact, Ryo even prepared herself for his stupid antics only to be surprised at how much of a straight man Red would play. This week we’ve got news about life-sized figurines, Red’s trip to visit his mom, and Ryo’s efforts at creating a video presentation. As for reviews, Ryo starts off with the father and daughter anime “Sweetness and Lightning” and Red brings up the rear with the past life Seiken Tsukai no World Break.

Episode 488: Red’s Bad Humor

Have you ever had one of those friends who tires to make everything anyone says into a sexual joke? Yeah, Red is that guy this episode. Though you can’t blame the guy entirely, he did go see the god awful “Sausage Party” this past week. At least Ryo takes it all in stride, but then again she has been writing poetry about her dreamy sensei.  This week your two hosts got news on One Punch Man and Love Hotels, and finish off with reviews of Log Horizon’s second season and Oshiete! Galko-chan. Let’s get it on!

Episode 487: Doujins Are Frightening

Ryo’s laptop charger imploded, Red got a cold, and watching Tank Girls makes you a weirdo. Yes, we’re back again with another episode of Anime Pulse. This week Ryo reviews the quirky “My Hero Academia” and Red reviews the second season of Durarara!!

Episode 486: Double Netflix

It’s just that kind of episode folks, two Netflix level reviews and more news; at least the news is interesting. First though Red and Ryo fill us in on what’s been going on with them, with Ryo going back to school and Red continuing his crusade against his previous employer. The industry news has a pretty fun poll about hated Jump heroins, a bit about a hack mall sign displaying hentai, and the dark side of Pokemon. Oh, and there is a bit where Red and Ryo reminisce about old commercials.

Episode 485: Angry Red is Angry

In this episode, Red makes it very apparent that pissing him off is not what someone wants to do. But so long as you don’t pull your phone out during a movie, fire him for no reason, or take forever to deliver his mail you’ve nothing to fear from the tenth unit of red. Aside from Red’s angry rant we have news of leaked photos from Ghost in the Shell, reactions to Bleach ending, and a Spice and Wolf sequel. In terms of reviews we have Ryo loving Bungo Stray Dogs, and Red not loving Juuou Mujin no Fafnir.

Episode 484: Summer Previews #2

And so it ends; the previews that is. This is the last week of them, as the next time we return it will be time to do a couple reviews until the fall season rolls in. Speaking of which, Anime Pulse will not have anything for the listeners until Ryo begins reporting from Otkakon. Look for the next major show near the second to final week of August, which will be right around the time for Red’s birthday! Woo! Anyways, previews! Four of them! Get to the listening!

Episode 483: Summer Previews #1 (with problems)

Ho boy, what a show we have in store for you folks. As you might be able to tell from the title, this show was more or less the most technical-problem plagued one since Red took over the editing. Taking a day off from work he put his blood and sweat into fixing the show up as much as he could, and now here it is in all it’s dilapidated glory. Any who, it’s previews time and your hosts are here to deliver you some promising candidates for the summer season. Even if we’re only a month away from fall…
