Episode 581: Dying Over and Over and Over Again

Anime Pulse has finally made it out of the previews for the Fall season, meaning we’re back into reviews. We start off with Joseph burning an old computer desk during Thanksgiving, and Andrew covering the community section. IRL news hits us with China arresting BL authors, low dating numbers in Japan, and the continuation of the My Sister, My Writer saga. The review this week, because there’s just one, is a joint review of making lemonade when life hands you death.

  1. So Andy, you’ve never watched anime on Crunchyroll? Or you’ve never watched Crunchyroll without a premium subscription?

I remember the days when I watched CR with commercials. I remember that they had a promo with all their anime, and the song they used, in conjunction with the scenes they chose, kind of mesmerized me. To give you a sense of when I last watched CR commercials, Bleach was one of the anime in their promo.

  2. Hi. Me again. I LOVE pizza, and on top of that, I am a New Yorker and an American. So you would think I might have tasted all varieties of pizza. No. I’ve only recently eaten a pizza with pepper as a topping. Usually, it’s some sort of meat on there.

I don’t know if I’d like a hawaiian, but I like all those ingredients!

    1. Hawaiian pizza is totally worth trying. I love the sweet/salty combo! BBQ chicken pizza is also good for similar reasons, when made with a nicely balanced sweet/sour BBQ sauce.
