Episode 429: Magic Robo no Yona

That’s right, we’re back! After sleeping off the Thanksgiving dinner we have returned to bring you the latest in news and reviews, or at least the latest news right behind Japan. Damn time zones. We talk about deaths in the anime industry, a cafe with less then subtle perverse dishes, and the exclusive Japanese Godzilla video game will be making it’s way to the states. Then it’s onto a Discussion Thread that is little more then left overs now, because it’s all about Thanksgiving! What anime characters would you bring to a Thanksgiving dinner? And finally, we warp the show up with reviews. Ichigo is first up to bat with a review of Akatsuki no Yona, then TC reviews the thieving Magic Kaito 1412, and Red reviews the sexually charged Kenzen Robo Daimidaler. Now hang on, because Red is bringing back the segment sound effects! That’s right, he’s actually doing something more then drinking and wishing a yandere would stab him with love. Be sure to let us know what you think of them, and any suggestions or comments on future show sound effects.

  1. Not a comment on the show, but any chance someone could look into the files produced for the podcast?

For some reason the ID3 tags are set incorrectly with an artist and composer of “Joseph Martin” and album as “Joseph Martin’s Album”. It’s been this way for a couple of months now.

  2. @Sam: This is likely due to the fact I use a Mac and Ichigo and TC use PCs, they’ve been able to change or set the ID tags; I have no clue how I’d go about doing that.

  3. Daimidaler? More like Dimeadozen! But seriously, though, Daimidaler is overly pervy and not good. Pervy, I can handle, bad quality, I had no time for.

I’m not really a fan of the sound events chosen for each segment of the show, but I am a fan of the idea! Works great on VG Pulse. Maybe you changed some of them, I don’t know. I’m a bit behind.

  4. For the audio? Well, for the reviews, the typewriting noise didn’t make sense to me. I can’t think of a short clip off the bat, but I’m thinking of two people arguing, like Siskel and Ebert. Or Statler and Waldorf, totally making fun of the performance. Or maybe even The Critic: “It Stinks!”

The discussion clip was just fine.
