How many language can mangas come in? That depends on how you slice it. If you’re being a bit of a pedant and talking about the source, it’s probably Japanese only. Otherwise you’d call it by the local name like manhwa or manhua. If you’re talking about translations from the source, then however many languages you can translate into. It’s from the eighties if that helps and isn’t a comedy. It’s also not weekend at Bernie’s though that’s been requested over seven hundred times. We want to break things up with an adaptation from comics with League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. We’d both seen the movie in the theaters and found it enjoyable. So when we heard a lot of the fans of the comics were annoyed by the depiction, we added it to our list.
Britain needs to assemble a nineteenth century collection of superheroes drawn from public domain fiction. We agree that the comics are better thought out and the characters are a bit deeper. But we can’t help but like the movie for being fun.

Do we need to introduce this movie? The grand pappy of the summer tent pole film. The movie that made Spielberg a household name and helped launch a shift in the way movies were made. We bring a discussion of Jaws.
If you read the book, you went into the movie wondering where the dicussion of small town politics was. Or maybe you missed the affair between Mrs Brody and Hooper. All of this chaff is separated from the wheat in the movie and makes the film superior.

It’s been a bit since we did a request. What will we choose using our incredible randomization process? The Last Unicorn. The book was written in the late sixties and has a lot of elements of a classic fairy tale. Having somewhat vague magic, ancient kings, curses, and romance.
The movie cuts quite a bit, including the rather important harpy tits dangling all about. It was made in the early eighties and it’s usually noted as being animated by Topcraft. A number of members of Topcraft would break out to found Studio Ghibli.
Our opinion is that the book tops the movie. While beautifully animated, there’s a lot of critical bits skipped over or forgotten story elements within the film.

We broke down and inserted another coin to enable two player mode. That’s right, we went and dual reviewed the Double Dungeons Dragon movie. Or maybe we just went and saw The Super Mario Bros Movie[2023]. In spite of all the internet whinging that Chris Prat was voicing Mario which was surely a sign of how the west has fallen and millions must die.
